No Shawcross??? Whitehead on the left wing with Walters on the right?
Fuck me sideways! If I saw us take to the pitch with that team Cobham, then surely, beyond all doubt, TP's time at the top of our club would surely come to an end?
I wouldn't be disappointed if I never saw Walters, Cameron, Adam, Crouch and Kightly in a Stoke shirt ever again to be honest!
Cameron is the best part of absolutely hopeless and I am surprised it has taken so many so long to spot just how crap he actually is.

Bloody hell Dave, when you get your chops into a player you're like a dog with a bone! However, I think I might agree with you!

He's an upgrade on Danny Pugh and that is about the best I can say about him. He started in midfield and after a half decent debut, he was absolutely shocking against Swindon and Wigan and ultimately got switched to full-back. He had a couple of decent games in that position but was quickly found out. He was then switched to left back, where he was hopeless so switched back to right back, where he continued to be hopeless. He has now featured from an advanced midfield position where he was subbed shortly after half time because he was shit there as well. I happened to be in the car when he was subbed (was it at half time or just after) and the 5 Live commentators were very, very scathing of his performance and completely baffled how a defensive player suddenly found himself being asked to play in a more offensive role. Between them, TP and Cameron are fucking hopeless!

Between them, TP and Cameron are fucking hopeless! You are judging him on three games in his natural position and the rest of the season being fucked around the park in positions he's never played before? I think you're being very harsh on the bloke to be fair. He needs a good half a season in his proper position before we go writing him off. The shift in pace from the MLS to the Premier League is a massive one before you even factor in other things. Some players take an age to adapt after moving from the Championship. I wonder what Geoff Cameron we would have seen had he ended up at Everton under Moyes? I dare say he would have improved under a manager that knows what he is doing rather than one that seems to want to undermine him by moving him around the park in his debut season in English football. Cameron started off ok and has drifted and it's down to one man. That man isn't American.

If Ethers had come off and Pulis hadn't put Shea on in his place he'd have got stick for it on here.
Was the right change IMO.

One of the only players willing to take a shot on goal. Won us a penalty. Took the best corner of the afternoon towards the end of the game after several terrible efforts from whelan. Certainly wasn't the worst player on the pitch.
He can't be judged until he's been time to regain fitness and get used to the pace of the league

I remember Lucas when he first went to Liverpool and the stick he got from the fans. I find it fairly ridiculous that we're even debating whether he'll be any good or not.

Apologies should have been Ryan not Huth as no doubt the FA will ban Huth for 3 games. You have to remember ard work always overrides talent in a TP side hence why I think well see Whitehead in for Shea. I'm not giving up on Adam or GCam yet I think it's more down to management rather than there ability. Both have largely been played out of position this season. I think our strongest team for Saturday if HutH isn't banned would be ..............................Bego........................ Shotton.........Huth.............Ryan......Wilson ............Adam.......Whelan.....NZonzi.......... .......Pennant...........................Ethers/Shea ...............................KJ............................ Of course it'll never happen.

espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1353775?cc=5739Meanwhile, Pulis feels United States international Brek Shea will be better for the experience of getting his first taste of Premier League football at Craven Cottage.
"He's still a bit short of match sharpness, but he looks like he understands the game and that gave him the opportunity to see what the league is like," Pulis said. "He found out how tough it was, but he will be better for that. I think he was surprised how quick and physical it was, but it was an opportunity to show what he can do."A strong argument against getting all your news from one source, or reading far too much into and then grossly over-reacting to a post-match interview perhaps? You do realise that the managers are interviewed by multiple journalists post-match? And if you think that his manager saying "he's just found out what English football's like" is negative enough to damage the players morale, just imagine what getting berated by knuckledraggers claiming to be his team's fans on twitter and elsewhere will do to him. Now, I understand the concerns regarding TPs team selections and our away performances, but if you're going to scrutinise every single word that the bloke says in a single post match interview and twist it to say what you want it to mean, then not only do you have far too much time on your hands, but you're also an extremely irrational human being. I mean you might as well be waving a massive banner that reads "I am entirely biased and prejudiced to the extreme, please discount any opinions that I may have".

What about a banner saying 'I didn't bother reading the post, but I am going to respond to it anyway'? If you read the post, it was a question, not a definitive statement. There is a difference. I am reporting my interpretation of a post match interview on the BBC and raising a question, to which you have obviously got an opinion which is fair enough.

It was a 'question' that you then proceeded to give the answer to yourself... Based entirely off a single line from a single interview. You might want to try reading your own posts before accusing others of not doing so. Just a suggestion, like.

Pulis fan boys never appear to be able to argue directly and address questions directly. Ironic given that Pulis is also incapable of this. Denial of the truth and the evidence in front of you is only possible through deep lying to yourself.

If that is what you mean I think you are very wrong.

Good to see Brek is still a lightning rod! Me thinks this thread would've died on page one if everyone doubted his future. Even if Shea manages 15 goals next season he'll still be fodder for debate. That's just him.

He's just found out what Pulis' football is all about. He's probably wondering what he's got himself into Like so many others. It's such a shame. I think and hope Pulis will go this summer. He stymies creativity, his tactics are archaic and the football he produces is awful to watch. He is making us a byword for boredom.
