Yeh I agree mate but it just escalates doesn't it? I disagree with RAF on very nearly everything but I like his posts and I like bantering with him. I think we all need to maintain a sense of humour (and perspective) mate. I don't like the stuff our manager gets called for doing his job as he sees fit, but I doubt it would bother him TBF. pretty sure Ruby has a sense of humour already....he's had to put up with me for the last 15 pages ;D I know he does Mick and he's one of a fair few of you that regularly throw out/and receive the kind of comments SOME might be offended by. That's if they hadn't worked out that there are some right piss-taking comedians on here that don't ACTUALLY mean any offence. ;D It can be very amusing at times to casual observers like myself.

Hope he means it, gives it his all (which I'm sure he will) and gets back to the kind of form that Pulis can't ignore. At his best, he's a fine winger and a great asset.

And there's more. The former Arsenal and Liverpool player revealed other clubs were interested but the location, status and style of Wolves saw him choose Molineux. "There were other teams involved but with the stature of Wolves, and their position in the table, helped make my mind up," said Pennant, who also had a spell in Spain with Real Zaragoza. "I did some research into it and know they want to play good football and have got good training facilities. "It is close to home as well and in all was the perfect choice. If I can get on the ball as much as possible hopefully I can benefit the club. "I have come in here to do a job as any professional would and I'm ready to give it my all."------A very interesting last line considering what's been happening here.-----

Could end up being a permanent move,
Have we moved on that far that we cant even fit pennant on our bench, I would love for him to have been more involved this season

i hope he performs well for wolves and TP get's him back into the team, if kightly gets injured we only have ethers who is a true winger! pennant has the quality we need. good luck JP (i now know you come on here) at wolves, but we still need you. the only reason why we were discussing why you've been left out (some suggesting maybe for disciplinary reasons) was because a lot of us think you are just too good to be left out. not jumping to conclusions

Good luck JP. Moved on? Yes to someone else quite possibly . Moved on to someone better on the wings? 'fraid I cannot see that at all. Although maybe Kightly will prove more creative than he has seemed so far. I must say I still find it very hard to understand why the JP situation was allowed to continue for so long. It's not only deprived us of a good winger for the best part of a season but must have cost a fortune in wages too. If his and TP's relationship is incurable ( something which seems obvious to many Stoke fans given TP's characteristics ) I cannot see why someone as good, if not better, was not brought in sooner.

Whats all this looking at football reasons? Pennant could not stay sober and staying sober and fit to play/train is the minimum requirement for any footballer Without personal discipline (after repeated warnings), talent is meaningless I'm sure if alive the finest manager we have ever had would disagree with you, especially when discussing a certain Mr Hudson. But I'm sure you have all the facts Paul. H And you will know H that drink finished Hudson's career years early, stopped him getting caps and more recently nearly killed him Back then they all drank to a degree - not so today

It's a good thing to test your stability on occasion, don't you think? Maybe you should try only reading it every other day or apply some other exercise in thread wind-up limitation. That might help ( well either that or loads of booze , just ask Pennant ) ;D

Pennant is flawed. He was flawed well before he came to us. Do these players ever learn. His demise isnt about football ability.
And Pu;is knows he was flawed. But he couldnt heal it. So hes failed

theres a pretty straight correlation between flawed people and creative people, which holds true in football. The decision should be made on what they add to the team rather then any high minded puritanical ethic, and id rather see the occasional Pennant in the team then watch 11 lassies aimlessly running around in circles for 90 minutes, no matter how good at bleep tests they may be or how early they go to bed at night
Besides which, the Everton issue was coming up to a year ago now. The whole thing seems like another Hoefkens/Lawrence situation to me- If Pulis doesnt like you he cold shoulders you out of the door with a smile on his face, no matter how much he might bang on about talking things out like men when it suits him

Let's not pretend he was some key creative element to the team after our 1st Prem season. Also I seem to remember him leaving to great fanfare from the Chairman, Manager and players all thanking him and wishing him the best. Lawrence wasn't hard done by in the slightest and I don't recall any cold shouldering. He started our debut PL season and finished it, the only absence being enforced by the dog injury. Let's not lie to push our arguments.

Sorry to all for missing the last page of posts, I had to take my Mrs up to the Hospital. Dear Tony Pulis, I apologise for calling you a fucking liar in this episode with Jermaine Pennant. It is quite obvious to me now that his loan is all about football reasons and that you have at least 3 players that are miles better than him on the right wing and are rightly picked before him. May I also say good luck to Jermaine Pennant, who doesn't have a problem with Tony and I hope his loan period goes well enough for him to forge a place back into the Stoke squad, because at heart I reckon that is what both player and manager really want. JP will be chomping at the bit to put some great performances in and keep his head down so he can cement his place back into the Stoke team and I'm sure TP will be watching him closely and supporting him as much as he can. Ramblers, she is fine thankyou, just routine. H
