The traditional 'catchment area' for Stoke supporters apart from Stoke on Trent and NUL extends down to Stafford in the deep south, parts of Cheshire (Alsager, Crewe, Warrington, Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Sandbach, Macclesfield and others - towards the stock broker belt and you're into Man You territory), up to parts of the Peak District (via Leek) and I'm sure we have many supporters between Stoke and Derby too (Uttoxeter etc.) to the east; and between Stoke and Chester to the west. However I'm sure our premiership tentacles are extending ever outwards!! ;D Any thoughts?

Am 51 now and have supported Stoke since I was 9 or 10. Gordon Banks is my reason for supporting Stoke. Never stopped since then. Been over to watch us play plenty of times... been visiting since the late 70s ... and by the way born, raised and still living in sunny Malta!

Born in Warrington (then in Lancs but now in Cheshire) which was where my father grew up. Moved with the family to North Staffs (Newcastle) when I was 3 and only lived there for 16 years as, when I went off to college, my parents moved to Cambridge when my father got promoted.
After College I lived close to North Staffs in Crewe (16 miles away) and Wolverhampton (30 miles away?) before moving to Plymouth (240 miles away) aged 31. Then lived in Plymouth for 28 years until retirement when I moved to the Lakes - 135 miles away!
Amazing I still have a season ticket after all this time. Obviously I didn't have one for many years and only saw the odd game but I bought a season ticket in my last year in Plymouth 8 years ago and have had one ever since.

When I was at Hanley High School we had a games master named Denis Wilshaw. He was a full time teacher but had an extra part time job playing football for Wolves. He had to get time off from school to go and play for England in the World Cup.
