born in NZ, Stoke father came back on holiday when 12 and went to the Vic for a walk about ( memory time for me Dad ) then came back and lived in my early 20's , and came back about every 3 years for Christmas since. 30 years on now so I have added the odd Wembley game.

how did you get into supporting stoke? Dads from Stoke. One of the nicer parts as far as I'm aware, called 'Bentilee'. Grandparents still live there but my parents live in Warrington.

It's lovely there such a friendly place, and they know how to party Used to go to the working mans club (closed down now I think) with my Grandad to play Bingo Never had any problems. Though I was quite young then.

Born and bred Staffordian. LIKED Liverpool until about 18 but never went to a game and wasn't really into footie to be honest. Just pick Liverpool as a kid because most other picked the shit. ;D Started work in Lotus shoe factory in Stafford and 2 brothers took me along to the Vic. Never looked back. That was in 1989 and my first away game was the relegation beach party in Brighton under Alan Ball. No glory hunting here. ;D

I have lived in Coventry all my life but my dad is also a Stoke fan and he is from... Coventry! Always glad I was a Stoke fan even when we were beneath Cov!! Got so much stick off Cov fans (and Manc U fans etc) growing up but not anymore. Well not as much!

Born in Bellshill, just outside Glasgow, mother scouse father Scottish (from the borders). Ended up in Uttoxeter, dad worked at Thomas Boltons in Frogall and one day took me and my bro to first match. Glad he did not work over towards Derby or could have been a sheep shagger.

Just a question - what is counted as the acceptable stoke catchment area?
Leek (where I am from) is a Stokie stronghold, but would people born in the city count us as glory hunters??

Depends how you define Glory Hunter. Being outside of Stoke does not make you a glory hunter. But I wouldn't class any Stoke fan as a glory hunter unless he previously supported another local team and switched to Stoke in 2008.

Was born in Manchester and raised (heaven forbid) a Man City fan, but after my parents divorced and I moved back to Stoke with my mum, my grandad starting taking me to games and I've grown up a Stoke fan ever since. Whats the opposite of gloryhunter? ;D

Born Aberdeen, moved to Kidsgrove when I was 6 in 1986 as old man relocated with Michelin. Mates still accuse me of being a Jonah as we were pretty much wank for the duration of me staying and only got better as I left.

Mum & Dad from Potteries but I was born in Warwickshire then moved as a family to Yorkshire, Berkshire and, finally, Surrey where I've been since the age of 13.
A proud gloryhunter since my first match at The Vic circa '72/73...

Another glory hunter I'm afraid - born in Barnsley, never lived in Stoke. Dad from Wolstanton so had no choice in who I supported.
Can never join in singing 'we support our local team'.

Born and bred in Solihull. Grandad was from Stoke and took me and my brother to games. Most of me dad's family supported the vale (unitl we got in the prem!) so I dodged a bullet by being close to my Grandad.
