Another glory hunter I'm afraid - born in Barnsley, never lived in Stoke. Dad from Wolstanton so had no choice in who I supported. Can never join in singing 'we support our local team'. . I do, I applied for boothen citizenship as a life long fan, and the lads around us granted it 2 seasons ago ;D

Born in Huntingdon on the account of my dad being in the RAF then moved to Cornwall then up to Manchester where Ive lived the majority of my life. Supported Stoke for 18 years though because my dad and half of my family are from Blurton, Hes a Stokie born and bread. Could have supported one of the Manchester clubs but I'm a stoke fan for life and I wouldn't have it any other way

Born and lived in Buckinghamshire my whole life. My dad's uncle is quite a famous stoke fan, took me to a game against my home town team Wycombe Wanderers when I was 9 years old and we won 4-0. I was hooked and have been ever since!!

Born in Bimingham ....d'oh and grew up in Lichfield. Everyone at school supported The Vile or The Dingles so being an awkward child i picked Stoke.
Now live and work in the heart of the black country and don't regret a minute of my love affair with my club where every game is an away game of sorts.

Was born in Manchester and raised (heaven forbid) a Man City fan, but after my parents divorced and I moved back to Stoke with my mum, my grandad starting taking me to games and I've grown up a Stoke fan ever since. Whats the opposite of gloryhunter? ;D Glutton for punishment? ;D

Born in Stoke but moved to Cannock at the age of one. Grew up surrounded by Dingles, Baggies, Villa, Brum and the usual glory hunters but never once considered ditching the Potters. Going through school as the only Stoke fan wasn't easy at times but the last few years have made every second of it worthwhile! Plus having a few of my closest mates as West Brom season ticket holders has provided me with the gloating opportunities that football fans can only dream of! ;D

Wasn't born in Stoke, haven't got any family from Stoke and haven't ever even lived in Stoke. My Dad (a Crystal Palace fan) took me and my brothers to see our first game of football, in February 1975, Stoke v Man City, simply because it was a top of the table clash. We won 4-0, I 'spose if Citeh had won 4-0 I could have ended up supporting them. 24 carat glory hunter me!

Would be interesting to know what proportion of this board actually live in SOT now? I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio was quite even, being that local fans have more opportunity to discuss news directly with one another rather than looking on a forum.

Born in Bristol. Only lived nr Stoke for 3 years (I was at Keele Uni 97-00), no family connection to Stoke at all I just come for the quality of the football :-) I was at Keele 98-02. I think I remember you. Weren't you the Stoke fan in the Lacrosse and Hockey clubs? Afriad not, never went anywhere near Hockey or Lacrosse. However, if you frequently Lindsay Bar (particularly in 99-00) then you would probably have been served by me at some point

a gloryhunter to me is someone who starts supporting a team when they suddenly rise to the prem, or get to wembley, but couldn't be bothered before - not because you were born or live outside of stoke

I worked at the snooker hall there at that time and didn't get onto campus much. 00-01 - I lived in Lindsay H Block and spent most of my time at the bar.

I was born 75 years ago in Biddulph - strictly speaking not in Stoke-on-Trent, but this hasn't stopped me supporting them, almost without missing a home match since 1947 and next week - God willing, I shall be renewing my season ticket - as always.

Kent/East Sussex is probably the worst place to be football fan of any description IMO
