I don't think we can get to carried away. Yes, he played very well against Valanecia but didn't Tom Soared have a good game against Spurs and we we're all singing his praises and how we had one for the future. He need to make sure he can do it on a regular basis Sorry but thats absolute nonsense. How do you expect him to do it on a regular basis unless he is given a run of games? Also hes just done it against one of the best sides in Europe, Soares did it against a relegation bound Spurs with 10 men. Soares wasnt given a fair chance either in my view, but Arismendi looks different class.

I think the problem with Arismendi and, to a lesser extent maybe, Palacios is that they show a bit too much "independence" of thought on the pitch and take risks for example to try an interception or to drive forward for TP. He simply doesn't trust them enough to follow his instructions because they follow their instincts too much. There seem to be a lot of players on our books at the moment that TP doesn't trust. It's not like he inherited them either.

It doesn't matter how many good performances he puts in, he'll simply never be given a chance because he isn't one of Tony's so called favorites.

Is this the same Arismendi that most people were rubbishing and slating the manager over just a few days ago (waste of money, no-hoper, etc.)?
Perhaps I am confused and it is a different one.

phil, No but it's the same Arismendi who TP didn't think good enough to play until the easy game against Valencia came along.
