I went to Tanzania a few years ago(we were in championship) and I had a taxi driver who thought that Stoke had played a friendly there in the early nineties. He reckoned we played a team call Simba from Dar and we tonked them so bad the scoreboard broke. ;D ??? Don't expect you to remember but someone might know.

Hi Colonel, yes Stoke toured Tanzania in the 90's and easily beat Simba (one of the country's biggest teams) Funnily enough, my Dad went back out there at the end of his career (malaria research) but couldn't make it to any of the games. p.s - did you get to visit Muheza, Amani or Tanga?
