I was honestly thinking about writing to the club after watching back at Ryan's reaction, the lad was devastated and as someone else has said here this could hurt him as a player..
Hopefully all our messages of support on this thread will get through to the club somehow and go a little way to supporting the lad..
We know it wasn't in anyway malicious, it happens in Football and we're all behind you Ryan - I hope you can enjoy the call up to the full England Squad, concentrate on that, you are there on merit..

Once you get your head round the media spotlight for either the tackle or his well deserved call up, you should know that every Stoke fan and essensially every England fan are behind you and support him whole-heartidly. We all know what a committed, honest professional you are, so does Fabio. You've done every Stokie proud tonight and throughout your time at Stoke.
All the best Ryan, keep your head held high.
WE'LL BE WITH YOU EVERY STEP ALONG THE WAY

I'm gutted for the lad I really am. If he gets the shit I'm expecting he will get then the club should take some form of action imo. It was an accident, pure and simple. Chin up Ryan!

Done it myseld years ago twice, it's hard to take but you have to put it behind you and get on with life.
Go and see him Ryan and i'm sure he'll tell you it wasn't your fault. Head down and work hard Ryan lad, the pain and feeling will pass. Set your sights on taking Terry's position in the World Cup and play against Ramsey in the Euro Champs.
Best of luck lad, we'll be singing your name Louder and Prouder than every.

The ref said he sent Ryan off NOT for the tackle BUT for the injury....He was out of order. Pulis and his bench should have decided his fate . Seriously WE should appeal otherwise Ryan could suffer for this. The Ref has fucked the rules up he is a cunt.

From the reaction you gave after being sent off proved that you are a pure pro and a sensitive man.. It was not a cynical tactle just a 50 50 chalenge that went wrong. You have my sympathy Ryan, but it was an accident.. Don't let it spoil your great season..

Your concern for him and your distress speaks volumes to this club, your supporters, not to mention the other league contingent and most notably tonight, Mr Fabio Capello.
We trust and believe in you Ryan. Spring back from this quickly sunshine...even Mr Ramsey would be disappointed if this incident harboured you as a professional footballer.
Be strong mate...we'll be with you

Ryan, you've nothing to be ashamed of. We all know that there was no malice and you've come across all the better for having displayed genuine, sincere regret on the football pitch.
Ignore idiots like Wenger and Fabregas. Fabio Capello thinks that you're one of the best English centre-backs in the country and I agree. He also thinks that the incident is nothing to worry about and not something that should affect your England place - I'm sure he'll want to talk to you about it though.
You're our player of the season so far, don't let it affect you.
