Keep your chin up Ryan lad! We all know your an honest, talented young lad with huge potential and in no way a malicious player! Accidents like this happen in any sport and we all hope that this doesn't affect your confidence. It's players like you, that battle for results, that make us proud to be a part of Stoke City! Look at how far you have come as a player. 99 out of 100 challenges happen like that without injury, don't let it get you down! We're with you all the way Shawcross! So proud of you for your England call up... we believe in you!

Ryan Shawcross, Team captain, leader, international footballer. The worst day of your career is at an end - it only gets better from here on in and I promise you, you are going to be one of England's greatest ever defenders and certainly a Stoke legend.

Ryan, just take a minute to look at what you have achieved, from the Manure 4th team, to be playing in the prem. And now called up for the England team. You are a very well mannerd, sensible young lad and people of your age and of your status struggle to do that. I know John Terry is older but you are never in the media for anything like that. God bless you Ryan and they have got your name sewed on the England plane seat for the World Cup mate.

I don't why I'm bothering to post on this thread because, Ryan, you clearly had no malicious intent at all and I didn't think that the challenge was dangerous, just unfortunate. TBH I was gobsmacked when the ref carded you.
However, we could all see how upset you were and so I hereby sign my support for you. Chin up - gutting but these things happen in football, through no-one's fault...

I am so proud of your call up to the England squad. It is no more than you deserve. Todays incident was nothing more than an accident and after watching you over the last two seasons it is obvious that it is not in your nature to intentionally hurt another player. Although you will be feeling sick at the moment, Aaron Ramsey will recover and I'm sure once all of the histeria dies down people will realise that their negative comments towards you are unjustified.
But remember that no matter what you will always have our support.
Ryan Shawcross - Stoke City, England, Hero

Just come back stronger Ryan.
We love you.
You've been involved tackles like this before , you've been on the recieving end of tackles like this before and it won't be the last time.
It was unfortubate that Ramsey's leg was planted and roke but it a million to one shot that this would ever happen again.
You're class and your reaction showed that you're classy also x

Ryan, I was elated when you signed for us, I never expected you would stay after the loan period (I kind of expected you to return to Man U, rather than sign permanently).
I'm eternally grateful for the effort and contribution you made in the promotion season, you contributed to the single most important event in my lifetime that has happened to Stoke City FC.
I hope to god that this awful event does not erode your confidence, I hope that you can overcome the stress, and unwanted attention that this has caused. And hope that your England call-up is not marred by controversy.
We know it was'nt malicious Ryan, chin up lad, try not to worry.
Be Loyal, Be Proud, Be Stoke

Take care and try and remain positive, anyone who knows anything about you what so ever knows there was no bad intention at all in your tackle and for those who don't know you they can see for themselves you clearly went for the ball from the replays.
I'm sorry this will have cast a shadow on what should be one of your best days of your life with your england call up, but these things happen and it's important you don't let this overcome you and move forward.
Best wishes to the Arsenal lad also

Be funny to see what those arsenal fans would say if the incident had happened in the world cup with Ryan playing for England.
Its a horrible result from a commited challenge, a bad tackle? yes because the ball had gone not because it was technically bad.
Hope he gets his head together, and in the cold light of day the football proffessionals at least seem to be coming down on his side
