Scholes has spoken. We now know exactly how to get a new corner filled in!! Angela asked Tony if there were any further updates around increasing the stadium capacity by filling in one or both of the corners. The Club position remains the same. The Club continues to look at potential ways of ensuring that if expansions are made that we can guarantee the continued sell out of the stadium. A sell-out adds to the special atmosphere and it is absolutely critical that we maintain this for the vast majority of matches. It would be extremely detrimental it could Club had a significant number of empty seats for matches at the Britannia Stadium. Tony was asked what it take to secure the corner fill i.e. qualification for Europa League or winning the league etc. Tony responded to say was that all of these factors would be beneficial to put forward however ultimately it comes down to Season Card sales, when prompted as to how many extra tickets, Tony's response was 1,000 more Season Cards. Yeah very well run club I heard a rumour last year that the chairman was shitting himself at prospect of getting promotion and the extra money he would need to put it so dread to think what he's like at the moment. They could get promotion again this season especially if JFH stays but that's what they need to be careful of as a lot of clubs will be taking notice of JFH at the moment. Peterborough were rumoured to be interested when they sacked Robertson. Best thing Burton have ever done is to get the FA to build St George's park in Burton as they use it as there training facilities and when all the big international teams and teams like Barca and Benfica come over for pre season training they all ask to play Burton in behind closed doors friendlys.

Over £7,000 raised now and that's just online. There are numerous other collections in shops around town yet to be counted up too. There's a charity football match being held at Knypersley Vics on Sunday as well. Get down if you can. Lots of great prizes to be raffled off and auctioned, including tickets to various premier league matches and some signed gear too. Higginbotham has given a signed Stoke shirt and the Vale lads, led by Dicko, have donated a signed shirt and ball too, as well as loads of other great stuff. The response really has been overwhelming. This is a City to be immensely proud of, full of generous and caring people. Keep fighting Jord. The latest update can be found on the blog below: prayforjord.wordpress.com/2015/10/02/game-time/Yeah this city gets a lot of bad press but when it's one of our own in trouble we really rally round. A lot of the items can be bid on via Twitter at the moment @sameverill

Some of you may be aware from Sentinel/Facebook/Twitter coverage 17 year old Jordan suffered a suspected heart attack/cardiac arrest whilst on a family holiday over the weekend. He is currently on life support in a Turkish hospital with his family at his side. Jord is a season ticket holder who also plays for Leek Town U18s and is a qualified referee who has refereed a number of Stoke youth games. His family and friends have started a fundraising page so that his family can stay by his bedside in Turkey the link is below if you can donate then thank you if you can't then please leave some encouraging words of support for Jordan and his family during this difficult time. There is a fundraising match(over 30s v under 30s) at Knypersley Vics on Sunday at 2pm there will also be a raffle and food. I believe his friends have managed to get a signed Stoke and Vale shirt to auction off. There is also a blog that his uncle is updating as much as he can to keep people informed the link is also below: www.stokesentinel.co.uk/8203-Jordan-Burndred-stable-condition-fund/story-27904153-detail/story.htmlfundrazr.com/links/c/d132Cfprayforjord.wordpress.com/Admin any chance you can pin this for a few days ***Sadly Jordan lost his fight this morning as per the link below confolences to his family m.stokesentinel.co.uk/Brave-Jordan-Burndred-17-loses-fight-life-holiday/story-27937319-detail/story.html

Dunno if anyone read the programme yesterday but Dave Wright was pretty scathing in how the u18s played last weekend when they lost 6-0 and he was saying that they just gave up and that it won't be tolerated again so would be interested how well we played in the 2-0 defeat to man c.

I like what Liverpool fans do with their channel. RedmanTV? Be interesting to see what a few Stokies with opposing views on camera turns up. Yeah redmen TV would be a really good YouTube channel to look at stealing a few ideas from especially for the fans who can't get to the games. They have a few lads watch the game and giving instant feedback like watching with ya mates down the pub

That's really good. You should defo look at doing some midweek previews with Stoke fans and even try and get some opposition fans as well if you can. Could even get a Sunday supplement style round table discussion every week. Would also be nice to see a post game review with fans the day after a game when people have had time to calm down and review the game. Have you talked to the the media department at the club? They may be really interested in this sort of thing as we all already know that our current media team is very basic There is loads of possibilities you could do with this.

For all we know we could be paying him to be a part of the academy on a part time basis while he is getting back to fitness An amazing gesture which shows what a good club we are

He could 'do a Dicko' and play for the Soap Dodgers and I'd still wish him luck. He has actually been offered a deal by the Vale. Didn't he say in the article in the sentinel that he would never join them as it wouldn't feel that because he's a lifelong stoke fan

If people are that bothered about it then why don't they offer to represent the supporters on the supporters council and bring the subject up at every meeting or why doesn't someone ask the current members of the council to bring it up for them at the next council meeting. Edit. There is also a poll on this subject with the author cheekymatt71 saying once it gets 200 votes he'll petition the club to get it done but it still needs 70 odd votes so people can't think its that important as we'd of got the 200 votes in no time with the amount of registered users on this site oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/242629/club-fill-scoreboard-corner-seats

Yeah, because he's a replacement for Toure. Slaps head and then balls. Why is it so hard to believe? He's a bloody good player and Man City will scout bloody good players. It doesn't mean he's going anywhere but he has been noticed. I'm sure I've heard he's also being scouted by Deschamps with the possibility of a call up in the not to distant future

I believe it would make perfect sense for Liverpool to come after a player of Nzonzis quality. I would hate for him to go there and would much prefer to see him stay with us for the next five years but I can see him handing another transfer request in if someone of Liverpools standard come's in for him.
Can anyone else see this happening?

Hopefully hes gone back to mls for the short term and in a year or so when hes got more international games to his belt we can get him past all the red tape that mr dyke is trying to put in front of players like him.

Does anyone know why we haven't started the second development phase yet for the indoor pitches? Dont know why they havent started them yet but was quiet interesting hearing charlie on soccer am say that our facilities are not very good (or along them lines) and that he hoped that we would we invest more into them. I though they were meant to be really good facilities what we've had built?

It'd be a surprise, but he's a strange player to invent stuff about to fill an inch on Page 58. 31 next month, which isn't really old. Slightly surprising that he's closing in on the last 6 months of his deal - and with Cameron and Sidwell contracted until 2016 and now viewed primarily in that role, who knows? Whelan (2015) Odemwingie (2015) Crouch (2015) Walters (2015)*although he mentions he's got 2 years left last summer so he may have signed a cheeky extension? Wilkinson (2015) Sorensen (2015) Palacios (2015) Edu (2015)
--------------------
Begovic (2016) N'Zonzi (2016) Wilson (2016) Cameron (2016) Huth (2016) Sidwell (2016) Adam (2016) Ness (2016)
--------------------
Muniesa (2017) Pieters (2017) Butland (2017) Arnautovic (2017) Bardsley (2017) Ireland (2017) Teixeira (2017) Shea (2017)
-------------------- Shawcross (2018) Bojan (2018) Diouf (2018)
Whelan has an option to extend the contract by a year till 2016 so i suspect the club will have an option as well www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2085348/Glenn-Whelan-signs-new-Stoke-deal.html

the man she went back to the hotel room with after a night out wasn't Ched Evans though...it was Max Clayton who was acquitted of all charges. she had no idea that Evans would be "joining them" until he came into the room (and that's something that Evans and Clayton themselves testified to) so...even if we go with the logic of "She happily went back to the hotel room so must have known she was going to get laid" (which wouldn't stand up in a court of law thankfully!) it still wouldn't help Evan's case in any way as it wasn't him that she "knew the intentions" of or "Knew the score" with. pretty sure that even if she "knew the score" what she was going back to the room for with Clayton was, it doesn't equate to her realising that his mate would later turn up and jump in there as part of a free for all does it? It wasn't Max Clayton(ex Crewe player), it was Clayton McDonald(ex vale player)who was found not guilty

Is there any word on the club putting academy games on YouTube or a dedicated stream? I know it's probably a better question for the supporters club but thought I'd try here first

I agree. The grant is for £200k over 19 games that's around a £1 saving a ticket for 1000 people. Not exactly going to get extra people thinking Jesus that's a bargain. But if 200 + fans don't need to pay travel costs that will bring in more travelling fans surely Is there any evidence to suggest that more people attended last season due to free transport? Attendances for away games saw an average increase of over 26% for like for like matches, with a record amount of supporters using the official coaches as their means of travelling to Stoke City away games last term. Read more at www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/club-to-continue-free-away-travel-offer-for-201415new-component-1772960.aspx#HBILxcwj1w0WUrjd.99Official site says attendance went up by just over a quarter

The questions were asked re the concourse, not at one meeting, but two and we were told that these comments were being dealt with by the health and safety team. As I said, I'll bring up every point on this thread on Saturday. Ange, Any possibility you could bring up whether the club are looking into the possibility of streaming U18 and U21 games next season like teams such as derby do and to an extent liverpool, chelsea and man utd do on there tv channels. I should imagine it would be pretty easy for them and shouldnt cost that much as surely the club already have the games filmed so the players can watch them back after the game and they also own a youtube channel which they could put the matches on. I'm sure they would get plenty of viewers and would enable fans to check on our stars of the future

Thats why she should report it to the clubs as they can see if they have any cctv of him saying it and if they have footage of him the club/victim(newschooldevil) will report it to the police who can then investigate the matter there are a number of ways to find him guilty i.e. specialist lip readers in that case arrest every stoke fan who sang welsh sheep shagging bastards we are sending you down . It won't happen because no one will be arsedd over a few silly comments thats different to arrest 2100 stokies for saying that would never happen for a number of reasons namely the amount of police time and court time it would waste. But for 1 individual shouting racial abuse of what this person has allegedly said they would be bothered that isnt just someone saying silly little comments it is a criminal offence which can lead to a £1000 fine. the link below relates to a male arrested AND convicted for shouting racial abuse at two players who didnt hear it but he was arrested after another fan reported him www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10175182.Football_fan_convicted_of_racist_abuse/?ref=rc

Despite being a woman and generally trying to avoid confrontation, I did manage to conjure a pair of bollocks and be a man for a moment. I want to report it to the club(s) because it's not something that has any place anywhere, and I don't want myself (and by extension all Stoke fans and the club itself) to be associated with that kind of vile behaviour. I don't understand what you think 'being a man' about it would achieve without further action. nothing will happen . Like he is going admit it he could say it was you saying it !! Abuse of all sorts of things go on at football imagine if the ref complained about the shit he got Thats why she should report it to the clubs as they can see if they have any cctv of him saying it and if they have footage of him the club/victim(newschooldevil) will report it to the police who can then investigate the matter there are a number of ways to find him guilty i.e. specialist lip readers

"ignorant lump" I don't act like a no the law just all get a fucking grip and man up stop hiding behind what you think is right or wrong and stand up for what you believe . If he bothers you that much then be a man confront him if you don't have the bollocks to do that then your not that upset by what he said And shut the fuck up The original poster has already said she is a woman should she have to 'man' up to him? He could be 6'6 built like you are and she could be 5'0 6 stone wet through he may of turned violent on her had she of said something. She didnt know how the bloke was going to react did she. Shes doing the right thing by reporting it, saying that she probably should of reported it to a steward at the time or the police at the ground.

First things first its Zaha not Saha he retired last year. Secondly if you went out tonight in Hanley and spouted racist abuse and directed it towards someone and someone reported it you could be arrested the law states that ANY member of the public can be offended by racist abuse and the person the abuse is aimed at does not have to report the offence to the police for you to be arrested I work the doors up Hanley and get called everything and so do my fello black mates who work the doors with me I have yet to see anyone arrested for calling me a big white steroid using cunt or my mate black when we toss them out the doors I'm not doubting what you say all im saying is that the law is the law Zaha does not have to of heard it for the matter to be dealt with any member of the public who has heard it said and was harassed alarmed or distressed by it can report the matter to the police and they are classed as the victims. So tonight if your black mates get called anything and you hear it and your offended you can report it and the person 'should' get locked up and you would be the victim.
