Thompson over Pearson is laughable I’m no fan of Thompson but Pearson hasn’t looked anywhere near the standard of fitness required so far. Pearson didn't give the physical presence needed last week.. and thats gonna be needed even more today v Watford.. tome for cpt Lauren, Thompson and Johnson to step up. |

Watford look strong as always, I can't see how we can get that same bunch that produced that performance against Ipswich to turn in a performance good enough to beat watford but if we manage to beat this bogey team of ours it will give everyone a huge lift. Agree what you say about Watford. Their big, strong, athletic and fast. this is a game we have to match them physically. Let's see who can do it at stoke on a Saturday afternoon. |

Reading the comments on that Sampdoria forum, they seem to think he's a hard worker who's a very good athlete - but are less complimentary about the other parts of his game! Someone explain to me if the Saudis are bound by FIFA financial fair play? Clubs are ordered to not spend more than the income that they generate, and that they must balance their books over the course of three years. So either the cost of a match ticket is ridiculously expensive or somehow they are going to get their games broadcast I can't see any significant money coming in. Either way I can't see anyone wanting to watch the games FIFA will soon be owned by the Saudis. |

It is next level obscene, and I just wish the media would blank out anything to do with the Saudi league full stop. On a personal note, I would not live in such a country for all the money in the world. Will be interesting.. Will the former European based players still have strong beliefs to take the knee before games....or as I suspect we're they just following their clubs an the Premier league insistence on this enforced show of view, and dont really have a strong view on what they were kneeling for. Will sky sports see the £££££'s and suddenly want to strike a TV deal with Saudi or Will they stick to there "let's kick it out" stance. Will the BBC, MOTD and their presenters preach to us what's right and wrong as they did before the Qatar World Cup. but then go on to stay in qatar 5 star hotels for 6 weeks and broadcast every game. And of course the big one, what will Saint Gary Lineker have to say about all this. |
