He’s toss, it’s shocking that we signed him in the first place but it’s absolute madness that we’ve given the fucker a contract extension. Nice you speak so well of our keeper..well done.

Nuno hasn't applied, he's not interested, he's possibly too expensive. JDT is under contact...can we afford another few million to buy his contract up. We need to stop believing the hype and random names on X, tic-tac-toe, or whatever platform the kids are using. Plenty on here with good track records are insisting Nuno was / is interested. JDT compo is supposed to be around 750k We are just going to settle for somebody out of work who will do it in the cheap? Might as well stick with what we have then. JDT...750K, What about his team he will want to bring.

Gallys subs today were more positive than Neil showed through his Time here He made 2 subs that were almost like for like? We went 2 up front...that's positive and trying to win the game.. ..could of brought a 5th defender or a midfielder on, but he didnt

Doesn’t matter who we play we’d still set up like they’re Real Madrid. Not under someone like Mowbray or maybe Schumacher we wouldn't. Gally is a disciple of Neil and similarly negative. Gallys subs today were more positive than Neil showed through his Time here

It doesn't matter how you go about avoiding relegation it's achieving it that matters. If Birmingham had started the season in another relegation battle then you might have a point but they didn't - the Birmingham board got starstruck and ditched a manager who was doing a good job for them for one that would up their media - which is what many on here are calling for. If recent record was the sole criteria Eustace would be the clear and obvious candidate. I'm not saying that should be the sole criteria or that Eustace is the best overall candidate but to say he isn't the right man given where we are is nonsense. 10 games is not a ‘record’ that’s the point. Like alluded to already, some of our fans have a weird obsession with players who’ve played for us, or have a history. He should be nowhere near the running. I’d rather keep Gallagher or even give Ryan Shawcross a go if we’re so intent on ‘keeping it in the family’. Please no... Gallagher is a young coach with no managerial experience. Shawcross is just starting his coaching journey as u18 assistant.. This really is not the combination you need for A. A relegation fight or B. Take our club to the higher reaches of the champ and into the prem.

Christ, even we looked good for 5 under Neil. Again, nobody on earth would be calling for John Eustace if he hadnt been a Stoke player. There is no nonsense in that statement. If its not Nuno then JDT would be my second choice. Nuno hasn't applied, he's not interested, he's possibly too expensive. Perhaps he is going to apply for the West Brom job. Now that would be worth seeing... As stoke smash in an injury time winner, corberan rips off his wba anorak to show he's wearing the stoke shirt underneath. runs to the away fans beating his chest before knee sliding infront of the hysterical stokies. A new messiah has arrived.

I was about to say the opposite. Pretty reliable I thought. It’ll be Eustace. Guaranteed. Granted I might be getting him mixed up but I honestly couldn't tell you anything he's got right. Can you remember anything? If it is Eustace then the club have done nothing but pull the wool over our eyes from the start. How have the club pulled the wool over our eyes... They haven't announced whose applied, whose been approached, whose been interviewed. Only tinternet and random ITK' either on here or social media have thrown high profile names into the hat...and sky, well sky have just thrown a number of names around they've read on tiktak. It's all speculation.

I like it, if he as tenacious and hard working as he was as a player then that does for me. Also these fucking lillywhitefankies in our team need some somebody to take them to task. Look where pandering to them has got us, so if we do eventually go down I’d rather it was because the useless twats were given 6 months of hell rather than someone being precious with their feelings. I have a feeling Neil was hard on them which is why, allegedy they hated him. Modern managers need an iron fist but the ability to keep the players on-board.. Shame though, I'd have them running up hills for a week morning and afternoon to get em fit. Don't know if it's try but didn't preseason under Pulis consist of weeks of pure fitness work before a football was touched....old school but effective.

Nuno equals sell out crowds, excitement and revenue to avoid FFP. Eustace equal boredom and mediocrity. Same old, same old. Stoke sides back to the 50s, 60s and 70s were built on exciting attacking football. Now it’s like watching paint dry. Christ is he really that exciting. How would selling a few thousand extra seats for home games avoid FFP? It wouldn't even buy you 1 decent player. Hmmm wonder when Coates took over??????? Not sure nuno plays the free flowing football people think. Yes he had good players at the start of his wolves journey bought in by mendes from Portugal mainly but in the prem they played 5 at the back and soaked up the pressure and used traore's pace to quickly break and get back up the field.

He’s probably sat on a beach somewhere wondering why he’s being linked to Stoke 😂 This. I am not saying SLP don't get bits of info from people they know who work at either Stoke or 365, or don't see arrivals when they are lurking in the bushes but come on, only 4-5 people maximum will have been aware of who had applied for the job. Take ITK's out of the equation, John Eustace was sat in the ground on Tuesday night, we have to be careful of FFP and we know the owners. It was always SJE or at the very least the leading contender. Agreed, as much as we would love a big name like Nuno, we're no longer Premier league, we're mid table championship with FFP. Finances need to be managed and new manager wages/demands etc..have to be FFP appropriate

Thoughts on Lee Carsley and apparently have held talks and currently Englands u21 boss!.. Would think they've held initial talks with dozens, and probably most of the names already mentioned. Once they dismiss those who aren't interested, too expensive. Or they just don't fancy. Then the next round of talks with a chosen handful will take place. I guess we're only just approaching that stage, narrowing down to a smaller number at this point.

Would Eustace enthuse people? I just can't see it. We need someone to send a bolt of energy through people. The only people the manager needs to send a bolt of energy through are the players. It's the players who send a bolt of energy through the fans. The social media age has ushered in a bizarre over emphasis on personality - people no longer be just good at their job, they now have to be media personalities as well. There are some jobs where being able to inspire millions of people requires good mass communication skills (like politician). The manager of a football club has to inspire 20-30 people - that's a completely different skillset. What works to inspire millions (or thousands for that matter) doesn't necessarily work for 20-30 people and vice versa. Give me substance over surface every time. And adulation makes me nervous - it's usually symptomatic of a con trick. I agree, I want someone whose gonna be here for 5 years and constantly improves the club. Not a short term boost which quickly fizzles out.

We don't have a manager... We have a team hovering above the relegation zone... Div 1 is closer than the Premier league.
Yet some think spending a few million on filling the corners is what our board should be focusing on... unbelievable Jeff!

I don't understand why we don't fill in the 2 open corners at the stadium. Even if it was just a semi permanent design to simply stop the howling wind coming in. In my boredom at the Sheff Wed debacle I did notice at one point that all 4 corner flags were actually all blowing in different directions. I mean that must make playing lengthy passes very challenging. And might explain why our home games are so poor. Are we trying to play football in a mini cyclone when its windy? Its at least got to be a leveller for visiting teams and contributing to our terrible home record. A couple of million quid boarding it up somehow would surely be small beer if it were to make playing conditions better. And we might be a bit warmer as well 🥶 Think our first priority is to get a team that can deliver 2 good corners in a game.

Doesn’t he normally set his teams up playing 5 at the back Definitely 5 at the back, the sacking of nunes and the change to four at the back was the beginning of the end of coady as a prem centre back

But he has applied, hexwas in front of me in the post office and even posted his application recorded post... I wished him luck and he turned and said cheers duck...I'm telling you he's one of our own.

We didn’t need a captain back then. Shawcross Huth Higgy Whelan Walters Was never truly convinced by shawcross as a leader..only compounded when the mercenaries arrived and ruined the dressing room and the seniors such as shawcross, crouch did nothing.
