Still here - thanks for the concern - but dairy cows??? We dont have them in Suffolk. But my uncle farmed them near Alsager - how the hell can a post go from where is Sufolk to an argument about caring for cows? My Aunty and Uncle cried every time by the way, but we still shot wood pigeon and rabbits for the pot = make of that what you will
I posted a few away game summaries because friends asked me to update them and then suggested I posted on the Oatcake as well. Nice to hear some liked them
In lockdown there seemed little point as they were streamed and I guess I just got out of the habit (I can here many saying thank the Lord for that).
Bayern I still follow through thick and thinner even after 50+ years
Tony Scholes eh?

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57086460The Dutch champions, who secured their 35th Eredivisie title on 2 May, have melted down their trophy and turned it into 42,000 silver stars to gift to fans who are season ticket holders at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

It's very simple. Cousins goes. Everyone else has the right by contract to stay on our books. Sadly this is 100% correct Some of the younger players fans would ideally keep may have to be sold. Basically we have created such a mess and are in such deep FFP hole, we really hold no cards What a legacy - not

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_stoke17:29 "Norton's not ready to start games, but he showed up well when he was on the pitch" "The youngsters aren't ready to play in games like this. They're on the bench due to the injuries we have" "Couldn't take off a centre-half as we needed them to defend the long throws. Taking one off would have weakened us. It wasn't a day to bring wide players on, who we haven't got much out of" Not going to go down well He’s an absolute moron. I fear he has lost the dressing room and the plot His formation was a major factor Not a good message for the kids to hear However you look at it we have regressed and it is painful and predictable to watch I just cant see what he is trying to do anymore Today was as bad as anything under any recent manager - as was last week etc Very sad to see the state we have become What is even more concerning as there appears to be little hope for next season and we may even lose Powell due to FFP constraints We really have tumbled in the most amazing way in the last 4 years and yet, lets be honest, nothing underneath has changed and it doesn't look like it will no matter what is posted on here or elsewhere, or even I suspect when we are allowed back to watch whatever is churned out

Lots of mitigating circumstances but that is beyond boredom and without a plan - can not even single a player out for being good or bad
U23s seem to have more of a plan and purpose
We just appear lost in the wilderness

what a load of shit - like the keeper is our main issue or even close too He has cost us 2 goals in the last 2 games. He just needs a break. Open your eyes - we have much bigger issues than our current goalkeeper

Really not sure the keeper is to blame for a pretty toothless display. Absolutely. Easy scapegoat. Lots of others culpable. A couple more culpable. Deep down the problem is, we really aren't very good and the manager has become muddled maybe even puddled in his thinking. Muddled and Puddled sums our manager up right now - spot on The bloke has lost the plot

I agree re the potential of Verlinden but just don’t buy in to the Ince option at all. I’m the other way. At least Ince had shown he can play well at this level, albeit in the dim and distant past. Verlinden just looks like a frail, weak little lad to me. Who knows. Right now Ince appears to be not in the right frame of mind where as there is hope that Verlinden can fufioll his potential Would prefer to bet on the latter as Ince has had so many chances at several clubs and they all say the same There is undoubtedly talent in him but somehow he can’t realise it

I agree re the potential of Verlinden but just don’t buy in to the Ince option at all. I like Ince and think he did well when he came on yesterday. I would have started him and Verlinden yesterday. Far more intent than Tymon and Brown on the wings. Can see why people don’t want to see Ince play but I think it has to happen for now. Brown is pretty bad on the wing, Ince is better. It’s that simple for me. Brown as focal point may have some legs but as a winger I agree My issue with Ince is he goes missing to often

So why has Verlinden looked nothing more than a competent bit part player in his appearances pre injury? Campbell looked a class above from the moment he make the break through. They’re massively different players from what I’ve seen. Campbell is a phenomenal finisher with frightening pace. Verlinden is technically excellent but physically seems easy to bully and overpower. Again I really, really hope I’m wrong. But on another note this all has a hint of the old ‘Bayern knows best’ about it. You’ve been beating the Verlinden drum a lot recently and it seems he’s your latest stick to beat the manager with. I would wholly disagree on that assessment. He was about our best player in the game he got injured. I do know best. That’s why I like this manager because he’s done what I would do! I agree re the potential of Verlinden but just don’t buy in to the Ince option at all.

Best football I've watched was produced under Hughes. A crap end but way more to do with the board not sacking him when they should. Nobody under the age of 50-odd has seen a better Stoke team than Hughes' 13-15. And people hate him. Mad innit 2.5 years of delightful football - the second best Stoke team I have seen - too young to see the nearly won it if we didnt sell the Matthews team It is just sad instead of building on it we managed to break it apart Last time there were a bunch of mitigating circumstances, of which some were/are debateable With Hughes I still cant my head around why such a fall from grace

Vokes missing the penalty destroyed the team Bringing Vokes on destroyed the team. Letting him take the peno was scandalous. A bad blind spot of the manager

I think Angela does her best but I'm not sure she should be the expert on a weekly basis it would be nice to have a variation using some ex players so nobody is on more than once a month Why did they subject us to a Crewe Alex commentary mind numbing They didnt - you could just turn off??????????????????

Collins for me as playing out of normal position But Fox, Mikel and Clucas all solid as well Fair point, but he did let 2-3 dangerous crosses in. Not sure why Pulis brought their LW off. Fox didn't give anyone down that side a sniff, and did well in possession too. Both were very good - fair to say

Nah we deserved to lose that. We were shambolic until the sending off. Nice superlative Will we be getting any more dramatic ones before the nights over? I guess we will. I know you and Bayern have a thing going on but to be fair his brief summary of tonights game is correct

Weird game
Gave them too much respect and no one turned up first half for us at all
Should have been a draw purely down to ref decisions but the better team won despite their injury issues which are huge lets not forget
Ince - lets not even even bother again - same with Tymon
Progress is there to see - but it is indeed work in progress

10. That was absolutely superb entertainment. The game had virtually everything. Not good for the ticker though Spot on Firstly I want us to win and I dont care how Secondly I want to watch an entertaining game - which this was in bucket loads Some mistakes but as a game of football that was a 10 Championship style
