complete waste of money that would be I think you might be right there fella. The point being however that there are indeed very good players playing in the top flight of French football. To tell you the truth I think Dindane is actually currently playing in the second tier of the French league, but I stand to be corrected on that one.

Dindane is indeed in the second division after Lens' relegation last season.

Yeah it was bouncing around a lot earlier Luke. So I didn't want my answers to appear to be going to the wrong person. It calmed down now though.

This 'good attacker, bad defender' bit worries me a little. We're not a team that likes to throw bodies forward (just look at the Diao - Faye partnership) and asides from Higginbotham sprinting forward about once a match, we don't push the full-backs forwards. This means that he either won't fit into the Pulis system or the weaker side of his game will be more exposed as he spends the entire game sitting back. This all makes it a bit baffling. After all, didn't we have a central European Right-Back who was much better at attacking than defending who Pulis was not at all fond of? Of course, maybe it's 'very good attacker, good defender' or 'decent defender', it's just all relative. I can understand what you are saying but in view of the players Pulis has brought in along with other signings he has perhaps lined up ,I can only assume that Pulis is about to change his tactics to a more attack minded one, where we do not sit back in our own half defending as deep. This is especially relevant with reagards to the signing of Etherington, and Liam Lawrences return who like to run at players. We therefore need faster full backs to cover the flanks if we get caught out and lose possession. Perhaps he's been spurred on by the fact that the lineup against Liverpool had scored 4 goals overall (1 Lawrence, 1 Higginbotham, 2 Faye). It doesn't seem like the time and place for Pulis to change to a more attacking mode. At Plymouth he insisted on playing the ultra effective 0-0 creator even when they were well safe.

I still think that TP prefers centre backs to play in the full back positions. This is something he has done over and over again. If we sign a right back, I think it will be someone like Riggott who is more naturally associated with centre back. You can't have too many centre backs you know.

I still think that TP prefers centre backs to play in the full back positions. Griff isn't a centre back march.

how many euros will he cost??? I think the Mail earlier in the week said £500k. Sun said £2.5m Today's Mail said £1m. But their chairman said "We would prefer a transfer, but we do not push back the idea of a loan with purchase option", so maybe that's the road we'll go down first?

Don't shoot the messenger but I was at training this morning and talking about the dealings today (Dicko/Soares) and when this guy was mentioned, someone said he was having a medical at Blackburn today. Don't know who he was but someone said he was a scout.

Don't know who he was but someone said he was a scout. Don't suppose it'd be a surprise if he chose Blackburn if we were both seriously interested and put proposals to him. Shame if that's true though. He sounded an unusual Pulis target, and it would've been interesting to see what happened with him.
