It goes down as a Viktor own goal because his attempt actually changed the direction of the ball away from the goal line until it hit the inside of the post and went in But if that happens when the ball is headed by an attacker, why doesn’t that go as an own goal or does it? You could argue that all goals where the goalkeeper touches the ball before it goes in and and changes the direction of the ball are own goals! No, when Johansson got to the ball, he pushed it away from the goal line. In another example, if Johansson did EXACTLY the same as he did but it didn't hit the post, instead it hit the back of Wilmot who was stood next to the post, it would be a Wilmot OG. It's hard to explain but I know what I mean in my own head 😂

Good Grief! A 4 page thread arguing about who to blame for an Own Goal! Clearly that super striker OG happened to be playing for Derby and scored again! In the end it didn't matter. Let's move on.

A good but crazy keeper, we have to take the bad with the good with his craziness, I think it comes as part of the package. Best keeper we’ve had for ages.

That's cobblers mate. It's the kind of header that defenders make week in and week out and in all those cases it bounces harmlessly into the keepers arms. That is unless their mental keeper hasn't dashed off to the John Smiths for a piss just at the vital moment. Gibson had every right to expect Viktor to be there or thereabouts when he headed it back and his comment to Stevens 'Where was he going?' or 'what was he doing?' emphasises this. But what clinches it for me is the way Viktor lay in the goal and shamefacedly put his hand up virtually admitting his guilt. Do you really think a keeper as mental as Vik would hve just shrugged it off if he'd called for it and Gibson had ignored him? By the way for the avoidance of doubt I really rate Viktor as the best keeper we've had since Bego/early Butland. But he's made a fuck up here. It happens. He's got plenty in the bank and it didn't matter in the end so let's move on. Well I beg to differ it is the defenders responsibility to head the ball out of the danger area, not to assume the goalkeeper is in position. I haven't seen many headers like that this season never mind week in and week out. Absolute stupidity IMO. Ok mate fair enough. I think we’ve done this one to death. Shit happens. It wasn’t crucial. We won despite it which we wouldn’t a few months ago. Let’s move on.
