Don’t blame the lad himself he didn’t ask for the transfer! That one must have been down to Shoey?
Not blaming him either they were panicking at the end of the window. Move on let the lad go!

Ennis 100% a Schumacher signing and he seemed obliged to stick with him in the hope he would come good Now he's gone, I doubt whether we will see too much of him in a Stoke shirt again, that could be the opening for Vidigal

No, but Manhoef has been for the last 2 or 3 versions! Always ends up at a big European team like Porto

When a guy who has been outcast from the squad for the past 6-8 weeks actually plucked up the courage to shoot on site more times than any of the regulars over the past two games, you have major problems.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-andre-vidigal-portsmouth-9594205Vidigal had been out in the cold, rather than on the naughty step, under Steven Schumacher, who was believed to have been frustrated with the 26-year-old forward’s conditioning when he returned for pre-season, as well as what could diplomatically be described as a low threshold for requiring in-game treatment. He has been happy at least on the surface around the camp, however, and turned down opportunities to leave Stoke in the summer transfer window even if he knew he was not going to be Schumacher’s plans.

So he was out of shape and a bit of a fanny. Rightfully booted out by Schumacher by the sounds of things. But brought back in by Poundland Pep. Schumacher showed what he was about early doors when he dropped Mmaee to the reserves for not meeting his standards. Let's see what this new guy has about him.

Maybe he’s spoken to him and made him aware about the required levels, but sees that Vidigal is a better option on the wing than Tezgel or Ennis. Getting sick and tired of the negativity. Just give the guy a chance & if he’s failing miserably in a month then criticise, but he’s been here for 10 days and people seem to be willing him to fail.

Vidigal had bulked up too much, he wasn’t out of shape. Mmaee would arguably have offered a lot more than Cannon over the last 3 league games, too.

He was a real plus for me today. Two things of note
Firstly, the way he hustled for the ball did not get knocked off it, he looked physically ready to play in this league and able to cause trouble for defences Secondly, the substitution shows the manager clearly sees something in him. The game was finely poised at the point he was brought on and he made an impact. Linked up well with other players too.
I know it was only 35 minutes but this is precisely what we need from our subs. A Positive for me.

Pity Schuey didn’t discipline himself for poor timekeeping or not bothering to turn up at all and not meeting standards.

Too very poor decisions with shooting when better options. If he had a good record of thirty yard worldies then great, but he doesn’t so could’ve used the ball better. Still not convinced by him.

If someone misses a shot you can always say they could use the ball better. He backed himself, it didn't come off, it happens. Generally though he was a real positive influence on our play and that's what I was looking for, I'm not that bothered about a couple of wonky shots tbh.

Had some grit about him today, admittedly as I pointed out in another thread Swansea looked gassed by the time he came on which may have helped his cause.
Not connivenced he'll be here long term but it's nice to see him giving it a go rather than being ostracised from the squad.
