One consolation. Last weekend was ruined as early as Friday night, at least we’ve made it to Saturday. Can’t wait for a Sunday game then I can enjoy the best part of a weekend before these clowns destroy it for me.

Like I said earlier, it's just an even shitter version of what Southampton are trying to do in the Premier League with the same results. I've said it umpteen times before and I'll say it again. JUST BECAUSE THE VERY BEST TEAMS LIKE MAN CITY ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS PLAYING THIS WAY DOESN'T MEAN ITS AUTOMATICALLY THE OPTIMAL WAY OF PLAYING FOOTBALL AT ALL LEVELS. YOU NEED VERY SPECIALISED TYPES OF PLAYERS WITH THE RIGHT SKILL SETS AND ABILITIES TO PULL IT OFF. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE PLAYERS IT'S ACTUALLY ONE OF THE VERY WORST SYSTEMS YOU CAN PLAY AND WILL LEAD TO DISASTER VERY QUICKLY. QUITE CLEARLY, OUR SQUAD ISN'T EVEN CLOSE TO HAVING THE RIGHT SORTS OF PLAYERS TO SUIT THIS STYLE. No need to SHOUT, we get your point. Just frustration like banging your head against a brick wall. Why can't so many highly paid, experienced football people see it yet we can? |

Really surprised by comments on here, don’t think it was that bad. Boro have a lot of consistency with Carrick and we are clearly changing the style again. It must be hard for the players to keep up with the change every time a manager is sacked. Boro scored because Koumas didn’t slow the free kick and Bocat wasn’t aware, both had switched off, which shouldn’t happen, so very frustrating. Cannon needs time out of the team, we need him out of it too and have someone who can impact the team instantly. Hopefully we come out of this team talk and don’t do the usual of conceding a goal. Need to play to player's strengths, if we have any. Until you can buy players to suit a system, you suit the system to the players. Yeah, this is exactly the same as we've had with other managers. The HC has an idea of how to play and, however technical it may be, it just doesn't fit the tools available. We have one of the league's best wingers here - two of them, maybe - chasing lost causes and Wilmot and Gibson playing carpet football. It's nuts. Agreed utter madness. 80% of the possession we have had is moving the ball back and across Gibson/Wilmot. |

The defender should have been there, so poor to let the defender run off him like that. Yep. But weak from the keeper….. It's how they're told to do it these days, for some reason trying to hold on to shots is a massive no no. |

looked offside too, but it was happening one way or another. We’ve looked terrible. Looked like he was inline with Wilmot to me, close though. Doesn't matter. As soon as the gk saved it it became second phase so the fact he was offside when the shot was taken doesn't count. Had the gk not touched it and he'd knocked it in it would have been offside. Kane has made a career out of those situations. |
