Watch the training vid from the week, he’s literally being told to do this and then if they score it’s on the defenders. Its a fucking mess. If it’s a strong parry it is on the defenders, but that one was pretty poor…. The defender should have been there, so poor to let the defender run off him like that. |

Really surprised by comments on here, don’t think it was that bad. Boro have a lot of consistency with Carrick and we are clearly changing the style again. It must be hard for the players to keep up with the change every time a manager is sacked.
Boro scored because Koumas didn’t slow the free kick and Bocat wasn’t aware, both had switched off, which shouldn’t happen, so very frustrating.
Cannon needs time out of the team, we need him out of it too and have someone who can impact the team instantly.
Hopefully we come out of this team talk and don’t do the usual of conceding a goal.

Just checked into hotel in Outer Hebrides- I see 16 v 2 goal attempts and conceded 1. Usual tripe by the sounds of it. I assume Pelach will have them defending up until we go 4 down, then bring on the attackers. Deep joy. Has Walters resigned yet? Get you a whiskey and forget this mess of a club for the weekend. |

What are we trying to achieve with all this slow passing in front of goal...and our incisive through the lines passing? It just seems Middlesbro have not had to work for their chances. They just wait for us to give them the ball, then get it out wide and have midfielders making runs to create space for others. Hardly rocket science. Like I said earlier, it's just an even shitter version of what Southampton are trying to do in the Premier League with the same results. I've said it umpteen times before and I'll say it again. JUST BECAUSE THE VERY BEST TEAMS LIKE MAN CITY ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS PLAYING THIS WAY DOESN'T MEAN ITS AUTOMATICALLY THE OPTIMAL WAY OF PLAYING FOOTBALL AT ALL LEVELS. YOU NEED VERY SPECIALISED TYPES OF PLAYERS WITH THE RIGHT SKILL SETS AND ABILITIES TO PULL IT OFF. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE PLAYERS IT'S ACTUALLY ONE OF THE VERY WORST SYSTEMS YOU CAN PLAY AND WILL LEAD TO DISASTER VERY QUICKLY. No difference really to Watford and Oxford? Way, way worse. At least we tried to get the ball forward against them. We were shit, but now it looks like we are shit by design. Hopefully a few changes before the 2nd half will turn something on. |

I watched that this morning and had the exact same thing going through my head. "It's on the defenders". Ok, nice one. Some on here wont like this but that was shite goalkeeping…to palm it out there is criminal…i said it when we signed him after watching his highlights on Youtube…he hardly ever holds onto a shot…always pushes it out…if that continues for the whole season we are in a real mess. |

Utter wank, they’ve won 70% of duels have passing accuracy of 82% v ours of 38% in the final third. On every stat there is we have been mullered. Too passive with and without the ball. The front three may as well not be on the pitch. Hope to god we can’t be any worse second half. Can’t see how anything this manager is trying to do is going to work as we simply don’t have the players to piss around and draw the opposition on to us, we are full of errors all over the pitch.

Not that bad, we've had one touch in their box, they're totally in control and don't look to have any idea how to change it. How can Cannon impact anything when the ball is nowhere near him. |

Need to play to player's strengths, if we have any. Until you can buy players to suit a system, you suit the system to the players. Yeah, this is exactly the same as we've had with other managers. The HC has an idea of how to play and, however technical it may be, it just doesn't fit the tools available. We have one of the league's best wingers here - two of them, maybe - chasing lost causes and Wilmot and Gibson playing carpet football. It's nuts. |

Do we think that Junho, after being crowned King of Stoke in a rubbish season maybe believed his own hype a bit too much? Did he maybe think/or his entourage think he was going to get a quick move to the PREM. Same with Burger? A number of reality checks methinks. Time to possibly take them out of the equation for a little while. I believe Dixon and Philips and Sidibe can make a difference in the forthcoming weeks and I look forward to Gallagher getting involved. However cr@p that half was, the refereeing is quite ridiculous and will go on to play a part of the result in this match unfortunately.
