Cba to read the entire thread. Has it been mentioned that Gibson will probably be key to the Pelach direction? I’m not sure that using a guy who was literally banished from the training ground of a previous club a few seasons ago would be my first choice as key influencer in this deal.

All this werriting over such a shit manager too. 3 good games and it‘s like we sacked Fergie. It’s been hilarious today. Fergie just made clubs worse To be fair he did with his recommendations of future managers

I don't think it would have been done on a whim, he's obviously spoken highly about within football and seems quite modern in his coaching ethos. Like some have said, his backroom staff will have to be spot on... My take is that Walters may have had his eyes on him for a while As Serpico said, inexperienced as a manager but we're not going to get a top foreign coach , realistically at this level. Is a direction we should have taken previously Other Championship clubs have got Foreign Manergers/Coaches.

Fergie just made clubs worse Well I do have a theory that Man Yoo won’t get better until he dies tbh. He’s like a ghost hanging over them. They ask him about decisions when he shouldn’t be a relevance there.

He hasn’t a clue. Can’t name one single person who would be remotely interested yet keeps banging the same old drum Because it’s a fucking ridiculous notion. Snoop Dogg. Prove me wrong. You can’t. 🤣 Every day the club is owned by John Coates proves you wrong….

Pretty sure Coates has repeatedly said they have pushed back on investors and buy ins to retain control of the club.
You have two clubs playing in League 1 tonight owned by people you would not have ever assumed would have invested in their respective clubs.
Any change could be for better or for worse, but this notion that *no one* would want to buy the club in some capacity is just a bit silly.

They didn't overlap. Perlach went there in July 20 Whitehead left in Nov 19. So unclear how their paths would've crossed. If it's Walters curating the core of the coaching team, seems a bit weird, with him maybe just bringing this keeper coach? It's not weird It's what happens when you appoint someone with no clout whatsoever He will have no say over anything The result will be zero respect from the players as they will know he'll go before they will Its like Walters is manager. Hes picked the coach. Looks like he's picking the assistant coaches. Doing the Transfers. Am I missing something here????

He could be great. Just wait and see. Based on what? What is on his CV that says he's going to be a competent manager? Is it because he's Catalan? To appoint an absolute rookie based on literally nothing is astonishing CV’s aren’t the be all and end all. Three of our last four managers had won promotions at their previous clubs and they all turned out shite. There’s some excellent young managers around currently in their first job, McKenna, Rohl, Carrick, Cleverly etc.

A Technical/Sporting Director running the club instead of a traditional first team manager. It’s the modern way apparently 🤷♂️

Until then try to keep your blarting about your hypothetical dream to >100 posts an hour so someone else can talk about what is actually happening now.

They are like the Liverpool of my childhood. Always looking back. A pale imitation of what they were and a big part of that is Fergie still being integral to their decision making.

Liverpool of your childhood? Under Houllier? Ferguson probably isn't helping but none the less it's a club that doesn't function because football isn't put first

What? It’s happening and it’s hilarious. He gave them Moyes and he hangs around like a bad smell. Again though, it’s just the peaks and troughs of football. No club is successful all the time, our game is too competitive at all levels to allow that to happen. Liverpool went 30 years without winning the league title.

And they listen too heavily to a bloke that isn’t relevant to them any more past being a legend. There’s some quote from him about shit that has nothing to do with him. It’s just no way to operate.

Any change could be for better or for worse, but this notion that *no one* would want to buy the club in some capacity is just a bit silly. The point is that nobody has bought the club in whole or part, regardless of rumours. Until that happens it’s completely irrelevant. Moaning on and on about hypothetical new owners impact is silly, as it’s not happening anytime soon. When it does then it will be discussed seriously, until then it’s just pointless really.
