Pretty sure Coates has repeatedly said they have pushed back on investors and buy ins to retain control of the club. You have two clubs playing in League 1 tonight owned by people you would not have ever assumed would have invested in their respective clubs. Any change could be for better or for worse, but this notion that *no one* would want to buy the club in some capacity is just a bit silly. It’s ridiculous. There isn't an argument strong enough to take away guaranteed billionaire owners for as many generations as any of us and our families will see. They aren't perfect, far from. They need proper advice and structure. I seriously doubt the credentials (and health) of John Coates. He's proving nothing short of a disaster. But... in terms of guaranteed financial stability, which in truth is THE be all and end all in modern football you have to stick with them. |

Its like Walters is manager. Hes picked the coach. Looks like he's picking the assistant coaches. Doing the Transfers. Am I missing something here???? That’s what the hipsters in our fan base wanted isn’t it? A Technical/Sporting Director running the club instead of a traditional first team manager. It’s the modern way apparently 🤷♂️ Last time we had a proper manager people blarted about the quality of the football and we promptly got relegated from the Prem 😂 Will be a struggle to recover, why would anyone want this job? |

They didn't overlap. Perlach went there in July 20 Whitehead left in Nov 19. So unclear how their paths would've crossed. If it's Walters curating the core of the coaching team, seems a bit weird, with him maybe just bringing this keeper coach? Certainly wasn't me mate as I shit in the middle of the dancefloor. I can vaguely remember myself screaming 'who wants fucking tapas' as I did so. It was shortly after this that the bouncers 'Big Pedro' and 'Carlos' dragged me out and sent me on my merry way. As you say though a great band. |

I only found out about the sacking when I finished work. I didn’t have anything against SS but after Saturdays underwhelming performance it did really feel like that he wasn’t going to get a consistent tune out of the squad. This really does come across as a change of direction and one where we’re getting an exciting overseas coach (not manager). From my experience the Spaniards really do seem to know there onions and this guy could be just what we need with some of the excellent technical players we have. I’m in. Great post. |
