You’d hope he’d employ ones that have the same approach. And with this bloke not having been a manager and having his own entourage then I dont see why it’s an issue. Bar the calibre of the bloke doing it all. Even first time managers normally bring their own men that they have a personal relationship with and can trust though. If he's incapable of raising an entourage of the necessary quality, fair enough. And we don't know if he's had any say with Whitehead. At least they both have some experience working with Wagner with his style, but without that personal relationship, it's not ideal if they're going to be working together/talking for the first time tomorrow morning. I quite like it tbh. I hate all this manager bringing his entourage shite. But yeah, do I have they’ll pick the right people? No.

There’s lots but people don’t want it. They want to remain shit. No one wants us to remain shit, don’t be silly. People just don’t believe there are better, wealthier people out there wanting to own Stoke City. If that was true they’d actually want the issue solving. And there’s only one way of that. So yeah we will remain shite and keep going around in circles. Well done the lot of you.

It’s more that we don’t treat the real world like Footie Manager. You can’t just change the owners. They own the club, until you put your hand in your pocket and buy them out your only course of action is to parrot the same thing on here. When will you learn? Naive? Yes you are. You literally can 🤣 This whole there is no alternative is a weird cult like load of bollocks. I’m not stupid, why would I want to own a football club? There are however plenty of stupid people in the world that do. As is evidenced all of the fucking time. There aren’t any that are clamouring to buy Stoke are there? You’re suggesting the Coates (who would have to agree to this) sell up, someone swoops in and everything is sunshine and rainbows. Sorry to burst your bubble but the real world we live in doesn’t have that option on the table. So in short, no, it’s not going to happen (at least anytime soon).

Haven’t they both worked under Wagner or am I missing something? They didn't overlap. Perlach went there in July 20 Whitehead left in Nov 19. So unclear how their paths would've crossed. If it's Walters curating the core of the coaching team, seems a bit weird, with him maybe just bringing this keeper coach? It's not weird It's what happens when you appoint someone with no clout whatsoever He will have no say over anything The result will be zero respect from the players as they will know he'll go before they will

Norwich have said he can talk to Stoke ,so they don’t value him. No club stands in the way of a coach if they have the opportunity of getting a manager/head coach job.

Who thought Ryan Reynolds would want to buy Wrexham? It’s an absolutely awful argument.

A valid point raised earlier on Radio Stoke about Chris Cohen. Appointed over the summer amid something of a fanfare and sacked along with all the other coaches after just five games? I’m gutted he’s gone, really like the sound of him As a coach

It’s almost as if you think the club had a divine right to be in the top league getting into cup finals and playing in Europe. We don’t. Look at the history of the club. We are a small/ mid sized club who will go through good times and bad times. Undeniably, this is a poor run, but at some stage things will turn for the better.

Norwich have said he can talk to Stoke ,so they don’t value him. The Norwich lad on radio Stoke earlier said Norwich are aware he wants to try and get a head coach role, and wouldn’t stand in his way if he was approached. That seems more likely to be honest, why would they stop him? He wouldn’t be irreplaceable.

I feel SS knew he was on the ropes at the start of the season. Maybe appointing Chris was a way to try and help him improve. It didn’t seem to be working so he’s gone as well. They also had a bloke on who interviewed Pelach and had nothing but good things to say about him. Was a good listen. Don't know if you have seen it bud but the interview is actually on page 2 of this thread No missed that. I’ll have a look, cheers.

It’s been hilarious today. It has. I get why folk like him he seems a nice guy but I personally have seen zero progression from where we were. I think the timing is a bit more hasty than I imagined but couldn’t see it ending well with him. Yet another new start and people have to be hopeful. As I said earlier it’ll be forgotten about in a fortnight and Schumacher won’t be talked about unless the rest of the season is a total catastrophe

There’s no patterns of play. There’s no plan. He failed miserably. And it didn’t look like anything changing was close. They’ve taken a gamble. I expect it to remain shit because I just don’t think it will never not be shit with John Coates in charge.

English football is competitive, and clubs like ours will be forever battling either to go up, or stay up along with around 25 other clubs. It is what it is, I’m sorry.

I'm not happy with the sacking however it's the prospective appointment which is worrying me I really don't want to watch league 2 football again He could be great. Just wait and see. Based on what? What is on his CV that says he's going to be a competent manager? Is it because he's Catalan? To appoint an absolute rookie based on literally nothing is astonishing

The one thing about this appointment is that if it is a total disaster then Walters will have to resign. I think you’d find he would do the opposite dig in even take a bigger role
