The big test for the new manager is to get Lyndon Gooch playing up front and banging 25 a season in I am all confused today, but given the opportunity I would have sacked him on Saturday at 11:30am when I saw he had Gooch in midfield!!

Why? Schumacher was awful. Hopefully this bloke will stick to his principles unlike that coward. How many weeks before you're calling this guy names as well? I'll give it a month. He might be shit. He probably will be. But then most people like yourself still won’t call out the real issue at the club despite it smacking us in the face constantly.

The owners are going nowhere. If you want to lead the protests to oust them, crack on.

Just league games. Ppg seems to be 1.34. Still seems very harsh on results. Just got the sense he and Walters weren't aligned I wonder if SJW will have had a past connection with the new replacement manager?

Win rates is an odd one to have become the standard metric for managerial success. I reckon PPG might be better measure and would likely push O'Neill up a bit (plus Pulis maybe). Agreed, PPG below: Schumacher: 1.41 Alex Neill: 1.21 Michael O'Neill 1.40 Mad Nath: 0.87 Gary Rowett: 1.34 Paul Lambert: 0.87 Mark Hughes: 1.31 Tony Pulis: 1.39 You look at that and have to say it is an incredibly harsh sacking. Must be a behind the scenes fallout to justify it.

We used to be held up as a role model for how clubs are run well. The decline is alarming and continuing. For what it’s worth, on the face of it the club has not exactly covered itself in glory. Only a few knew what went on and the rest of us can only guess. I hope SS goes on to have a cracking career - always seemed decent to me.

Really don’t know how to feel about all of this. I said after the game on Saturday that i didn’t think Shuey would be allowed too many more performances like that horror show before he got the chop, but certainly didn’t see this coming.
On the one hand, SS has just about the best record of any of our post relegation managers so it’s definitely harsh. Unfortunately I don’t think he ever looked like he had a clear plan or way of playing nailed down, and in the end it looks like his weird tinkering, abject performance against Oxford as well as his post match comments ‘we thought we’d have too much for them…’ has done for him. He goes with my best wishes.
From Walters’ perspective, SS was never his man and I always thought he’d look to get him out earlyish if things weren’t looking good. He absolutely has to get this appointment right though or he will have well and truly fucked himself and the club over.
Hopefully the fact that the squad is so young and that the majority of the possible bad eggs have been binned off, will mean that this bloke from Norwich will be able to get his ideas across early and lift the club out of this perpetual cycle of misery and sacking managers. Unfortunately I do have some major doubts as I don’t have huge faith that either Walters or Coates truly know what they’re doing.

So, we are going for an assistant manager from a fellow championship club who are performing no better than us. 🤔
To be fair, his pedigree doesnt look bad (working under Pep and Corboran)
If he can have a similar impact as Corboarn or Cifuentes I guess Schuey will be quickly forgotten. Big ‘if’ though

I think there's many times we have picked up points in spite of him, through the talent of the likes of Million and Bae. Really liked him but it hasn't been good enough.

Now the dust has settled I think this maybe a good thing.I liked SS, but think he was still lacking what we needed as a club and as a manager.

He seemed like a really decent bloke but unfortunately I don't think he would ever have taken us into the top 10 of this awful league. A foreign manager is the way forward. English managers haven't won the top flight since the early 90s.

If this bloke is more arsed about the opposition and a serial tinkerer then he can piss off already.
Sick of seeing us set up to counteract other teams just bomb forward and attack this league is wank.

Don't think any bookies have really released any lists except for Betvictor who briefly did before Percy and the Stoke and Norwich local press basically said it was going to be Pelach, and it was pulled.

I only found out about the sacking when I finished work.
I didn’t have anything against SS but after Saturdays underwhelming performance it did really feel like that he wasn’t going to get a consistent tune out of the squad.
This really does come across as a change of direction and one where we’re getting an exciting overseas coach (not manager).
From my experience the Spaniards really do seem to know there onions and this guy could be just what we need with some of the excellent technical players we have.
I’m in.

Oh I see, thank god, the list I’ve seen makes grim reading. Know nothing about this guy but I’m kind of all for it, it almost helps he’s not very well known, and of course he looks a snappy dresser which is always a big plus😉
