I think that PL football is still so fresh in the mind that we would struggle to break 15k even if we had a home draw against one of the Manchester teams. Would be a sell out I think that PL football is still so fresh in the mind that we would struggle to break 15k even if we had a home draw against one of the Manchester teams. I suppose it would depend on the pricing structure but I’d be amazed if we didn’t sellout against one of the big boys We never used to sell out against them in the league or the cup in the PL years. Just looking at some of our cup ties against the big teams from back then. Stoke Arsenal, 2010 - 19,735 Stoke Man City, 2013 - 19,814 Stoke Man City, 2010 - 21,813 Stoke Man Utd, 2013 - 25,928 Stoke Chelsea, 2014 - 24,886 Stoke Spurs, 2011 - 15,023 Those were also occasions when we weren't likely to get a routine 4-0 thumping from a load of reserve players that nobody has ever heard of.

You're talking Man U or Man City when we're getting 25k at home games in the second tier. You could quote us getting go 12k at home to Arse in the league at one time if you want to dig back down that route . The away followings would be huge for a start and the prospect of Man U and Chelsea at home in the Carabao when in their division at the time doesn't compare Chelsea and Spurs aren't Man Utd also when it comes to pulling in fans in a cup
