You just described Thompson completely to be fair. I don't see this lad being any upgrade on Thompson at all, except he scuffs his shots in the clips whereas Thompson blasts his over. Either way, I can't see a slot in the squad that he would need to fill. What makes you say he's not an upgrade on Thompson? Ive never seen him play so couldn't say one way or another. I don't any more than the point cheesy was making about him being an "instant upgrade". The point is it isn't a spot in the squad that we currently need reinforcement as much as others, Thompson will do in that role until Lawal gets fit and its the position people seem to think Burger is best suited. I think we would be best suited spending the time, as I'm sure he isn't going to cost much, on recruiting for more urgent areas, like up front and in the attacking midfield role. Nothing against the guy, I'll be happy enough with anyone we sign until I see how they perform long term. |

What the fuck are we doing trying to sign superior midfielders when we clearly need a striker. Obviously we can't be after both at the same time. Signing a decent goalscorer is so simple it should be completed on the first day of seasons end. Seriously, look at Ty. Chambell , very poor to average for seasons but gets a contract at Sheff Utd, at this point one of the better clubs , money wise, in the division. Goalscorers can call the shots and wait for the winner of the auction . Dunner complain if we improve other areas in the meantime.
