Hmm, looking at his stats I'm getting the same unconvinced Mehdi Leris feeling. To be fair, I think those Wikipedia stats are out of date. He's played all but one league match this season (25) and played 28 games last season. Was also there in 2022 when they finished 2nd in the league but only played 13 games. Definitely feels like someone is on their way out of our midfield though if we are seriously in for him. |

Their supporters aren't too happy on twitter which is a good sign I suppose! |

Looks like one of those annoying players the ball just keeps bouncing off and seems to come away with the ball. He seems very direct which I really love but I would expect him to get caught out on the edge of our box from time to time. |

Interesting that he's 26 and not a star. Could be a shrewd signing, but seems weird that it's no longer just the stars that are leaving Japan for a slight step-up and new experience. Seems a very different profile of signing to Junho

I guess not every obscure signing has to be the next Zidane and if he’s a Championship level player who will do a job, it doesn’t matter where they come from I suppose. Might also help expand the “brand”.
Will believe this is one when it happens though. Does seem extremely left field.
