We can offer minutes. They can offer 10 years of loans everywhere. That was just one example. We are a bottom end Championship club. How we end if with bae then?

If he’s a solid CDM with playmaker attributes that’s an instant upgrade on Thompson. Transforming the team massively.

For some reason Baker seems to be in danger from SS......mistakenly! Baker is a funny one, because if you look at our first 2 games it is Baker who has been the initiator of the most decisive moments in those games. It was really good play and movement by him for the Coventry goal, and a lovely free kick move initiated by him for the first Carlisle goal. These are important moments in games that others in our squad struggle to provide. Yes and during last night’s game I was repeatedly asking myself, where’s Baker hiding now, why isn’t he getting any sort grip on this midfield? Very frustrating.

Looks like a DM. Though the standard isn’t great where he’s been playing he looks one hell of a player technically when you look at the way the ball sticks to his feet in tight areas. It’s a gamble but one worth taking for me. Only issue for me is how will he get a visa? Technically he does look very very good. Can hit a quality free kick as well

I wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson leaving with the amount of players ranked above him. Just a gut feeling

Although Ive watched as much of Seko as I had Livolant when he was linked with us, I think Seko has more potential for a player of similar age and that’s mostly due to the differing development systems in Japan. University is a popular route for a lot of top Japanese players, meaning they get to develop in a less pressured environment, have a more holistic development that improves intelligence and therefore decision-making, but means they turn professional at a later age. Although the technical standard of university leagues is high (university teams might often beat professional in cup competitions and is seen as on par with j2) the intensity and strain on the body isn’t as high. So the development arc for a Japanese player is later than a typical European player. A 26 year-old from Japan might have more chance of development and peak later than a 26-year-old from Europe. Mitoma at BHA great example of this, went to university, turned pro at 21, moved to Europe at 24 and seems to still be getting better! Hopefully Seko could be similar!

Surely this one is just purely seen as versatile cover, which is absolutely fine if that's the case. You need that in a squad. If it's genuine of course. Wasn't one of the main statements earlier in the window that they want the quality on the pitch so squad fillers isn't the aim? I know you need some versatile players in the squad but I'm just not sure where this lad fits even into that when we have a lot of players in most positions he supposedly operates. Can't see this one being a goer. Look forward to him being excellent if he signs now too.

If he’s a solid CDM with playmaker attributes that’s an instant upgrade on Thompson. Transforming the team massively. You just described Thompson completely to be fair. I don't see this lad being any upgrade on Thompson at all, except he scuffs his shots in the clips whereas Thompson blasts his over. Either way, I can't see a slot in the squad that he would need to fill.

I think there may have been something lost in translation here.
Seko - Kawasaki to Stoke probably meant Kawasaki two stroke.

According to that GBE calculator, he only gets 4 points - so nowhere near the 15 needed But we've got more than wild card open, haven't we? So not an issue anymore Not sure I’d want to use a wildcard on a J league plodder when we could use it for a Bae/Million type pick up from South America or Eastern Europe or something Sure it's been answered already - do we gain a wildcard if we sell one?
