rules seem daft , no idea why the lower you go the more you are allowed to spend , we are clearly finding it a struggle to justify spending much with our rules

Might be a bit outside of the box, but I wonder if there’s an agreement between Fulham and Blues.
Rather than loan Stansfield out, they’ll sell him for £10m with a buy-back clause of say £12m or so after a year. Theoretically, when they buy him back, they’ve got the benefits of the £10m for FFP and the ability to amortise the 12m over his new contract. Blues get a good player for a year to help get them up and there’s a £2m benefit to their position with FFP?
Just a thought, but that would resemble what Villa did with Philogene, for example.

I doubt he'll even go, he played, scored and was MOTM for Fulham the other night. Fulham might need the FFP headroom, which would just about round off the nonsense. League One club bails out PL club with FFP issue whilst the Championship clubs scrabble about for loans. Well done EFL, PL, FIFA and UEFA... Yeah my Fulham supporting mate has just said the same. It's a complete joke.

Can he not be loaned out to a championship club? Can he not tell Fulham no? Or even stay at Fulham I'm sure he can but you see my point surely? a very good point as well

So as we are at start of 3 year ffp cycle why couldn’t stoke splash out say 60/70 million …which would be fine as long as books balance in 3 years ….should we get promotion in 2 year the prize money for getting in the prem would more than balance the books to a positive position……..or am I talking bollocks 😀

Last season will have been 22-24 this season it 23-25

Walk away. Ridiculous fee...... Not sure it’s that bad? Young lad who’s already shown he can score goals at this level in an awful side. He’s had one ok season.

It’s all very well Birmingham offering the money, but surely the player will not wish to drop down to League 1 even if it’s only for one season.

The loss is still recorded and then cleared by the equity, you can't pretend the transaction didn't take place because it's come out of their pocket.

It's a rolling cycle the only start it has is when you enter the league. It's always your last two years plus your current year.

I'm surprised, but they must think he can play a part in their current season, if not he'd still surely be better out on loan this season to get some first-team football and get a bigger fee this time next year.

Dorsett on SSN just said Fulham had turned down the £9m offer from Birmingham. Maybe Fulham are in deeper shit financially than people thought and they need a £12m bid rather than £9m to offset another £3m in their dodgy calculations? I have no idea what I am talking about to be fair, just quickly absorbing some explanations from other posters as to how this works and then putting 2+2 together to make any number you want...a bit like Fulham and the rest of the PL clubs apparently.
