Can he not be loaned out to a championship club? Can he not tell Fulham no? Or even stay at Fulham I'm sure he can but you see my point surely? yes mate I see you’re point, so if we were to get relegated we could sign anyone we want? And then go up a decent team🤷🏼♂️ seems ridiculous to me

How does it even work if they get promoted and are allowed to "overspend" in Lg 1 ? Does ffp instantly apply to them when they come up? If they don't go up like Ipswich have (within two years) then you'd imagine the three year cycle will kill them. If they do then you'd think the first year in the Prem plus parachute money when they come down will balance it out. High risk. Hope it fails.

Wants binning off and replacing with something else more workable and simple to understand doesn’t it really.

You're effectively forcing a player to move to League 1 because the clubs that want him in the Championship aren't allowed to buy him.. makes total sense. We're assuming he wants to drop down to league 1

FFP should be abolished immediately like the fucking pathetic joke it is.

So Birmingham's owner can donate £50m for example and this sits as profit therefore giving them an advantage over Championship clubs who cant do the same. There are other rules such as % of turnover but the above is how Blues are getting away with it. Not their fault but looks like rewards for getting relegated

I don’t mind losing out on players because they choose to go elsewhere, that’s just part of the game. When you can’t even get in the conversation purely because of charlatans producing bureaucracy which is blatantly flawed in its fundamental principles, that is really irksome.
I think Silva giving him a taste of the biscuit and involving him at that level might make him want to stay put, but Blues must be getting some signals from somewhere to be ploughing on late into the window after him.

Big money that for league 1. Insane money for league 1, shows how daft the current rules are though.

A lot of people moaning on here about FFP that weren't moaning when we were relegated and chucked money around like chicken feed.
Hopefully, as we did, Birmingham well and truly blow it and unlike our owners their owners lose interest and the disappear.

He is certainly not worth that kind of money and would not want to go to a league one side if he has any ambition of playing at a higher level.

They got relegated from the Championship. Big difference.

I'd be shocked if there wasn't some sort of buy back clause in that deal. It'll be interesting to see if Stansfield fancies the drop to L1 when he's been on the bench in the prem

FFP should be abolished immediately like the fucking pathetic joke it is. You are rewarded for selling players who've been at the club since little lads. Whilst signing no one's on 8 year deals. It's absolutely fucking perversed.

Does this lad seriously want to be playing League 1 football for the mighty Birmingham City?
It’s a funny one this. Might make the powers that be realise FFP isn’t operational in its current form. How is you can be relegated to League 1 (probably because you couldn’t spend much in the Champo) and then spend XYZ amount of millions.
It’s a risky one from Birmingham anyway, essentially Premier League football in 2 years time or you’re snookered.

He is certainly not worth that kind of money and would not want to go to a league one side if he has any ambition of playing at a higher level. In the crazy world of football he is. Compared to what we have paid for vokes, Adobe, ince, all with shit sell on value, I’m Surprised a side that’s come down isn’t in for him

I doubt he'll even go, he played, scored and was MOTM for Fulham the other night. Fulham might need the FFP headroom, which would just about round off the nonsense. League One club bails out PL club with FFP issue whilst the Championship clubs scrabble about for loans. Well done EFL, PL, FIFA and UEFA...

Why would he want to play in league one? Seems a strange decision to me Agree, his wages would have to be the real deal-done thing. Obviously Birmingham may have received some money for Bellingham winning the Champs league, we don't know do we.

FFP is a farce and seems to be hampering Prem clubs outside of the big 6/8 down to champo clubs. League 1- if you have money it's a free for all.
It is just killing the ambitions of many clubs. Football is dead until they allow an even playing field.
The bigger issues centre around the nature of some of the investment into the sport- see Man City , Newcatle, PSG. This is allowed by the corrupt UEFA and FIFA.
The sport has got to stop catering for the middle east TV viewer.

He might not want to play in that league, he's potentially a solid championship bottom of prem striker. He would be better off going out on loan at a higher level
