One guy thinks we're able to spend obscene amounts of money every season... 👀 us?

Very touchy about the piss take of Twist and Shout
Never noticed them sing it before, it was embarrassing, absolutely fair game to take the piss
As for Stoke-on-Trent being not a nice place, glad they told us, had no idea, thought I was living in an urban paradise
Will have to get down to Cov to experience sophisticated modern city

I seem to be in a minority of one who thinks it sounds good. A bit more fun than droning on about the IRA or a 4th division club.

We were excellent first half I thought, but they largely controlled the second without posing any kind of goal threat. I was surprised when we pinched it at the end, the game seemed to be meandering towards a 0-0.

Can't stand the song about the IRA either but that doesn't in anyway lessen just how embarrassingly naff that song was yesterday

Brighton Sky Blue Well-Known Member Yesterday at 5:47 PM #2 Shittest ground in the country for ease of access.
I can honestly say he’s never been to a Coventry home game, now that place is a fuckin nightmare to get away from unless you are on the coach
No parking within anywhere near to the place and the train station around 5 miles away
Fuckin loon

You can find two threads on here of people complaining about the parking. I would say the location of the stadium is generally despised by most fans. The train station bit is dramatic. But it’s literally nothing that isn’t whinged about on and off on here 🤣

I'm in block 29 and I could barely hear them for 95% of the time. And I thought we were loads better than we have been for many seasons. I think the new standing area mut evoke an 'away game' vibe.

They are a really strange bunch. They just spend their entire time trying to force a rivalry with every club because nobody cares enough about them. They are just "there"
Coventry to everyone in Britain is
1. The place Keeping Up Appearances was filmed.
2. And when you go past Rugby on the train to London everyone seems to class that as sort of the unofficial half way point to London and someone asks where the hell Rugby is and the reply is "near Coventry"
They are known for absolutely nothing else.

Definitely felt like an away end vibe in the safe standing bit mate and long may it continue. My lad really enjoyed it in there and said that's the loudest he's heard it at a home match.

Once on a free bus driven by an absolutely crazy Eastern European chap who could have easily been trying to kidnap us but thankfully wasn’t. I like the Brit though and get away easy from there too 🤣

Clearly its turned in to a leafy utopia since then!

Not quite true…. Benjamin Brittens War Requiem was first performed at Coventry Cathedral to honour the newly built one(it’s a rather beautiful building surrounded by the ruins of the old one and then the most horrific shit)…the old one was bombed to fuck in the war.

Yeah, a city not unlike Stoke for it's urban decay but it's a stretch to say it doesn't have its unique history. Frank Whittle who pioneered the jet engine and changed the world was born there. It's motor industry led it to be known as the 'Detroit' of the UK ( home to Triumph, manufacturer of the best motorbike I ever owned). And although it's irrelevant to owners of BMWs, it's where indicators were developed 😊
