It's a mystery why Mark Elliott didn't get this gig after Nigel. He's in a different league to Sohail. He's been great so far today as he was a season or so ago.

Mad how peoples opinions differ , I was listening in the car and actually said to the mrs that the commentator yesterday was woeful , our goal was a prime example …I had literally no idea which team had scored let alone player until about 4 seconds after the goal ! Thus my reaction was a bit like the Watford fans on Friday night!

In Mark’s defence he did say following our goal he thought he had heard a whistle to disallow it so that must somewhat stop the flow of the commentary. |

Mark Elliot is a top presenter and you can tell straight away he knows what he’s talking about.
As for Rob Adcock 🙄He consistently gave out duff info yesterday post match when he said it was our longest unbeaten run since 2019🙄really Rob🤔
It’s only a year since we beat Sunderland,Leeds and Middlesbrough and drew with Cardiff and Coventry.
It’s not hard FFS🤷♂️do your homework instead of trying to worm your way up the arses of the BBC bosses and your obsession with podcasts

What's going on with Sohail, is he just doing the occasional Stoke match now? He's a character and I enjoy listening to him even if he does seem to forget that he's meant to be commentating, if he's not going to do it regularly though I don't see the point in bringing him in for the odd match.
I'd be happy with Elliot on the commentary every week, he made a few mistakes with the players' names at the weekend but otherwise he was decent. I enjoyed the light-hearted cricket references as well.

Well, it would be great if Mark Elliott were to take over the commentary as I could actually LISTEN to what was going on in a match again. I gave Sohail chances but he has no ability to commentate for radio whatsoever so I basically gave up after all these years of having some sort of 'matchday experience' from afar. I wish someone'd make him listen to one of his rambling, non-detailed, non-picture painting non-commentaries and then ask him if he had a scooby what was going on in a match. He's probably not that much better when he's providing commenatry for TV either.
