Just out of interest , is the standing part reserved seating or unreserved ? more likely to boost atmosphere if its the latter but understand if people want their own seat also , just not sure of the difference as people stood anyway It's a reserved standing space with a seat if you want to sit on it at half time.so not unreserved, but don't suppose it will stop you moving to an empty space if it empty like what was happening on Saturday

The path up from the Satellite Ticket Office to the Banks statue/bus stops is always crowded after the match. There will now be twice as many people using it. I can't see that being a good idea. Ssshhhhh. That will be measured in minutes by your fellow fans and you will be shot down. Just suck it up and be grateful. Enjoy your walk. Why not visit the fanzone until the crowd dies down?

Not sure where I complained about it taking me longer to get home, I simply said that putting twice as many people through an already busy path didn't seem like a good idea. Because it isn't.

Spoke to someone at the club today they said details will be announced later in the week about what is happening etc for Saturday. Less than 2 days until the opening day kick off. Tick tock...

Agree. It seems very little thought has gone into this, other than putting the changes into place (I.e. switching where the away fans sit and installing safe standing, oh and adding a few additional players parking spaces). Plenty of issues have been created and for high profile games it's going to be much more difficult to police. It's a potential massive shit show, as already highlighted in this thread. In addition, exiting up to the Banks statue which is already very congested, is going to be much worse, bordering on dangerous. Not to mention you're tipping all (up to 3k) away fans, not just a portion of them, into a small traffic filled road where Stoke fans are entering/exiting the stadium and waiting for buses back into Stoke town centre etc. I'm astounded that the authorities, e.g. the Police and council, along with Stoke's own safety teams have signed this all off.

Standing in Block 40 today the noise was immense, hopefully it was loud from the other areas of the ground?
I will be suggesting that in the short term the club can address the toilet situation, use portaloos outside in addition to the very small toilets in the concourse?
Then next season look at refurbishing the WC’s?

Atmosphere in the new section was brilliant, felt very much like an away game. Only negatives were the queues for the toilets and to get food or drink

What’s the point of coming in the standing area of the south stand and just standing there all game without a peep. Get gone if you don’t want to sing and let others in who want to

I thought the atmosphere was good and for me the away fans seemed not as noisy even though they were singing etc.. might be a masterstroke this moving them up that corner, time will tell I suppose..

Sat in Block 30 thought the Coventry fans were much louder than the South Stand Stoke fans but at least they gave it a go and any Stoke noise in the ground was started in the South. The Boothen was very quite.

Sat in block 12 today, thought it was a good atmosphere from both boothen and South stand. Few times when they were singing different songs at the same time but still added to the atmosphere.
Cov did seem to have a larger number of songs than us but that's nothing new.

Queue to get in the south stand was a joke. Near impossible to get past the queue for turnstiles 53/54 to get through the fence to turnstiles 50/52. Took an absolute age for them to scan people individually with metal detectors. In the end people just walked past and ignored the steward anyway. Farce

What's the point of making safe standing next to away fans if they are sectioned off?

What's the point of making safe standing next to away fans if they are sectioned off? Is it something to do with away teams being housed there in cup competitions where away capacities are increased? I don’t know just musing

Atmosphere was brilliant, literally couldn't hear anything other than stoke singing. Apart from a few times there fans sounded ok the rest of the time it sounded like we drowned them out. Something about the noise in the south stand it sounds so much louder than anywhere else in the ground

I don’t know just musing It's a floating section where home or away capacity can be increased if necessary, only be needed for us if we start flying and imagine they the club will be happy with no more than 3000 away fans even though we can give them 3500 max.

Glad they fucking hated it. I've never heard such a whining bunch of fucking tarts, even worse than Arsenal. That first half they were embarrassing moaning at everything and anything.

Just watched the highlights now and as I keep saying like a stuck record the away fans seem tucked away and doesn't seem as many of them even though there was 3000.
