Was it any good? Will it help with the atmosphere?
I've never been to a ground with it so wondered what it was like.
Plus any image updates of the fan zone?

It was OK won't get a proper feel for it until a league game though, went up and found my new seat and took it in at half time. Fan zone looks nearly ready but smaller than I thought it was going to be, looks good though 👍

No pics sorry, but the fan zone looks really, really good and is almost complete. Sound system has been installed on the stage etc The standing section looked good and the new street food smelt divine and was a good seller.
I have quite a few worries though about the new layout with the away fans. It has now been gated off at the Tile Mountain/new corner area outside - ergo stopping home fans using the extra wide, shallower path up to Stanley Matthews way which leads out opposite the Toyota garage. All home fans now are having to go up the narrow, steeper path and/or the underpass. The issues for me are two fold
1. The away area with large followings could be really, REALLY tight if it isn't managed properly as they only have one way to go whereas when it was open it was a lot more free to move and very fluid. 2. The narrow, steeper path is going to be VERY congested with home fans. Even today it felt a bit of a nut ache to go back on myself, to get stuck in a queue (with only a small crowd there to begin with) to go back on myself to get to where I wanted to go to.
The one other issue I foresee is trouble at the top of the new away path. They'll be completely sitting ducks as there is only one way out and with the likes of your Cardiff's, Leeds and Millwall's etc I can see serious trouble and right outside the bus stops too.
It's new and there will be teething issues of course but overall now i've 'worked' through it on a matchday i'm not sure it works at all and if there has actually been too much thought into that side of it all. Time will tell.

There’s always the odd thing ready kick off at the top there, but unless it’s managed really well I can see it being worse. With not being down yet, what is dividing the outside of the away end to where the family stand used to be? Is it a solid no peeping fence type thingy like how the south stand outside is split?

Yeah, the gate is now here highlighted yellow. The red line is where up to 3000 away fans will be and the green line at the top of the path highlights the potential flashpoint, where up to 3000 away fans will be entering a really narrow footpath and smack bang into home fans with nowhere to go - as there are railings stopping them from going straight out onto Stanley Matthews Way. Home fans that used to go that way (red line below) now have to completely double back on themselves and follow the green line if they need to get to the top of the bank:

Yes, that type of fencing without the green matting over it yet. See above for the segregation aspect.

I tried to have a look at that when I went to the open day, but Security wouldn't let anyone go around from the Main entrance to the Boothen. He said because there was work going on.

I have tried my best to show an email I was sent by ant Emerson 3 weeks ago showing the plans but I just cannot work out how to do it. Anyway on these plans the away coach park there is a new path that leads to the back of the new away end as well as the path mentioned above, although I heard recently that the away coach park is being moved? I suppose we will see next week with the first big away following.

What was really annoying was that you can't walk from the exits for the new blocks immediately to the shop and ticket office (about 200 feet) they close the gates, so you have to walk up to the main road and back on yourself to get back towards the shop/ticket office/ car parks. Utter madness.

Would allow easy access and no doubling back Same for the away path too, would open it right up from the narrow path it is now

For me standing was never about the act of standing, I can do that any time. It was the ability to roam. To stand with your pals. To move around according to the circumstances. It was freedom. This way you are still in your prison cell but someone has said its okay to stand up, which you used to do behind your seat anyway.

I just can’t see a future where football crowds above 10k in England get anywhere near that again.

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain That we could stand simply on that terrace again Ten thousand pounds at the drop of a hat I'd give it all gladly if our lives could be like that

New away end is going to be a big test next week as Coventry have sold out 3500 tickets.my concern is the segregation between both sets of fans is about 6foot wide on both sides which could be interesting never mind entrance and exit after the game

I’m back home and went today. The standing is excellent- gives people that option if they want it and Arnos should be good,.. however… externally- the planning is a fucking abomination… the home end opens up to what was ( and presumably still will be ) the away coach park ( where Bryan’s is). The concourses and small in there too. Seen smaller than the boothen. As is pointed out- extra pressure on the walkway up the ramp at rear of tile mountain/ sentinel stand/ which is shit anyway. Club need to dig out all trees at the back and put concrete steps- almost like a terrace- all the way along/
