We should prepare for disappointment Grapey. It's got to be Sheff Utd you'd think.

Our geographical location or our perceived club size will have no bearing on his decision. It's a different era

Hopefully the fact that he’d be coming here as a guaranteed starter will swing it for us.
I doubt Sheff Utd can offer that with Moore, Brewster and Campbell already at the club.

True but he can be given a difficult devising ie we’ve accepted a bid from Sheffield United you can talk to them or stay here in the bomb squad life’s never as simple on the inside as it might seem from outside thats not a difficult decision if he does not want to go to Sheffield Utd. It is if he wants to play

Begs the question what Wolves are hoping for if we can't afford him. Outside of SS there appears to have been very little interest. Maybe another loan just reduces the price next summer, also should he get injured etc. reduces the risk. Obviously increases the risk he has a good season and goes elsewhere. There is a difference between not being able to afford something and not being willing to pay what someone is asking for it. Which begs the question what Wolves are hoping for ...

Well £4M was quite widely quoted in the media. Not sure whether that was just a opening negotiating position or an annoyed response to our £500,000 offer. Sensible compromise around £2M?

10 , yes 10, championship goals to his name.
Forgive me , again, for not being quite as excited as many others about this signing.
Seems that SS and JW will have known of him and liked him via their Everton and Ireland links. Another to the scouse clan.
I guess this is the pool in which we are shopping.
He's always been highly rated however and is an improvement on the options we have.
Fingers crossed he's the 15 goal man we crave and need.

I'm not saying it's necessarily the end of the world, but I would like to point out that Tom Cannon isn't quite six feet tall...

Only scored 10 goals, should be a perm, no ambition, won't be fit, will get injured, not physical enough blah blah blah.

Loan makes sense.
The fee mentioned was ridiculous.
The forward areas are looking very cluttered though.

Leicester fans want to keep him and get rid of Daka ide take that as a given he has something about him.

I get that and I’m not sure myself as his injury is a risk but there’s no doubt we have beaten off severe completion from similarly resourced clubs so that’s great credit to the management .

If Cannon signs then I’d imagine we’ll allow Ennis to leave on loan. I think it would also relegate Tezgel to possibly 5th choice behind Cannon, Koumas, Maaee and Gallagher? Obviously Koumas can cover both wings more than adequately as well, but still looks like it’s going to be hard for Tezgel to get any sort of meaningful minutes here this season if Cannon signs.
