Our squad is literally half as strong as last season and he is primarily responsible. So have to say he is doing a poor job atm. Tbh tho, who expected Jon Walters to be a top talent spotter and negotiator🤣🤣. Yea he was helpful in getting the fans together in the run in last season but appointing him permanently with his next to no experience was a bit ridiculous

It's not just ex players, head of Sport Science and Head of Academy recruitment both born within 10 miles of Clayton Wood. We're in a global business and are shopping in a goldfish bowl across all aspects of the club. |

I think the Coates family have fallen into the old sentimentality trap again, for someone who would run through brick walls for the cause, he hasn't exactly identified and bought in players with a similar attitude or work rate. I hope for him he still has a few aces up his sleeve - bring in a goalscorer, a proper box to box midfield type to Compliment Burger in the deeper role and get rid of at least a few of the wasters - Johnson, Mmaee, Laurent to name a few. |

he did well last season but it's almost two different jobs, we got him in to do some positive vibes and rally the fans around, very different skill sets from helping to develop and build a competitive championship squad.

He did his job when he came in on a temporary basis and gave the club a lift.
He should never have been appointed permanently. This job needed an experienced and successful candidate. It’s potentially the most important role at the club and we appointed an inexperienced former player.

Has overseen a disaster of a window. Everyone we needed to move on still here. The signings that have come in are mainly still in full time eduction with a midget in goal. If this bunch get in a hole there is no hope. So far it looks like we've employed a bloke with poxy experience at Fleetwood and FAI. Legend he may be, but fuck off.
