Women's BMX final should be good. Shriever has been great. Hope she can do it. She deserves it Fucked it. The start seemed to take ages and maybe put her off?

What a shame for Beth, clearly the quickest rider and cut off in the pack The winner of these things seems to be down to who has the best start. What a shame for Beth. She looked uncatchable yesterday.

A proper championship race in the 10,000m. Get rid of the sit and kickers, string it out and race it from the gun. 54.9 final lap is phenomenal but no way Ethiopia can be satisfied with silver after all that work. Ahmed was constantly on Kejelcha’s heels but Kejelcha has too much experience to get boxed in like he did and once Cheptegei accelerated, he was trapped on the inside.

Have to say I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve been able to see of the Olympics so far. Loads of stuff I’ve got into that I never have the opportunity to see. As for the tranny boxer stuff I couldn’t care less

You Swedes have always been a sensible bunch mate👍🏻 The English too, so I'm sad to see your land falling apart into disputes, violence and all that recently - even though I'm not surprised when certain things happen prior to that.

It’s a pity that the commentary on the rowing wasn’t a little more cliché heavy.

GB men lost 2-1 to Germany in their final pool game (should have won) which sets up a ¼ final with India. Very difficult one to predict.

The rowers have 2 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronze compared to 1 silver and 1 bronze at the last Olympics. That’s some turnaround! And yes we’re ace at sitting down sports😉

Not a single word about this on Swedish tv. Who is he? She! Was this boxer born as a girl? Has this boxer gone through with sex change surgery?

musikKhelif has always competed in the women's division and is recognised by the IOC as a female athlete. "The Algerian boxer was born female, was registered female, lived her life as a female, boxed as a female, has a female passport," IOC spokesperson Mark Adams said on Friday. "This is not a transgender case. There has been some confusion that somehow it's a man fighting a woman. This is just not the case. On that there is consensus, scientifically this is not a man fighting a woman." Khelif has spoken about her experience of growing up as a girl in Algeria and the prejudice she faced playing football alongside boys. "Don't let obstacles come in your way, resist any obstacles and overcome them," she said in March 2024. "My dream is to win a gold medal. "If I win, mothers and fathers can see how far their children can go. I particularly want to inspire girls and children who are disadvantaged in Algeria."

This is not about gender.Khelif was banned by the IBA because her chromosomes test they use to determine eligibility came back XY (the male chromosome) which would have helped in puberty. Women can test XX (the female chromosome) but sometimes XXY which would give an unfair advantage.

Why was she not banned by the IOC? 😁 The IBA's Russian innit! It's all bollocktics, they should have a standard testing procedure across sport.
