Junior is 20. He’s still got a lot to learn. Be patient. Hoever is 22 and if Junior practices until he retires he still won’t be as good with a football. That's true. Hoever is a Premier League player for Wolves and Junior is a bloke who was plying his trade at League 4 Colchester a few months ago. There is really no comparison. Hoever was our best attacking threat at the end of last season. Some would say our only attacking threat!

junior the biggest worry for me in the team. i saw the same against one of the irish teams, cant trap the ball, and positionally unaware of everything going on. Id agree with that, I think his physicality and pace gets him out of the shit.. He needs to read the game much better (he’s young and I think he will)

Once it was intercepted as a through ball to the winger/Leris and Once on the edge of our box which cause Crewe to break through late in the game, is what I remember.

Suprised no one has mentioned their no10. Caused us problems for the mins he was on. Strong as hell and rapid. Reminded me of a budget Antonio.
We could do with some of that pace. We’ve got no one in the squad with that type of pace
I’m not advocating we buy him either btw.

Thank you. Tried Sky Sports and wanky Yahoo and then thought I’d get an answer on a Stoke Fanzine sight as a safe bet when I failed with my initial half job search.

Once He also played some excellent balls through Once my arse. I wish people would give over with the word excellent there were no excellent performances tonight. Dixon was excellent. Looked a cut above anyone else on the pitch.

There was nothing wrong with his performance but a lot of you seem to define excellent as a bit too close to ok for my understanding. Perhaps they’ve started using a different brand of dictionaries in Stoke schools since I was there.

I thought he looked a top potential player but got the wrong side a couple of times and his athleticism got him out of the sh1t. Very good, not excellent. 😀

It's people like you this area doesn't miss.

Yes it looked as if Junior was again an inverted full back and again looked lost and our of position, the experiment, clearly isn't working.

It's people like you this area doesn't miss. Why would I look down on people who still live in the area my family still live there. It’s more a case of not really getting a lot of football fans wherever they come from. They seem over emotional, a bit like over protective parents, they lack objectivity and don’t like it in others. Excellent, extremely good, outstanding, something special. I’d be more worried if Schu thought there was anything excellent about last nights performance but he didn’t seem to no one was better than satisfactory and quite a few weren’t even that. Schu and Dixon however will be relatively pleased with his run out given his lack of men’s football experience. He didn’t look out of place.

Just play him correctly to get the best out of him.

He’d definitely benefit from a simpler more basic game plan for his position. I’m not sure what you call it but he seemed uncertain where he was supposed to be when he was supposed to go etc. He’s got a massive amount of work to do on technique everything seems heavy and over hit and seems to have regressed since he returned from AFCON not improved. A manager/HC will not alter his vision for the sake of one young player though and neither would I expect him to. As for your other hobby horse that Tezgel is ready to play significant minutes as a championship CF just do me a favour it’s your normal going out on a limb on a player with no actual basis other than hype.

Then we need a new right back. Because if you don’t have a player that can do it, you don’t do it. It’s that simple. Tezgel should be third choice. Nothing more, nothing less.

Funny isnt it.We will have the same old boring songs as we have done for the past 30 years to look forward to again this season. Football songs are generally pathetic. “You’re just a town full of Polish” I bet some of yesterday’s participants left in disgust or at least verbally assaulted those singing it. LGH must have been most angry yet again. “Crewe is a shithole, I want to go home” Yeah right my shit smells better than yours. I’m just left bemused how so many folk can get so excitable and enthusiastic about a glorified training game.

Delilah feels worn out an oh when the reds should really be Saints, I mean that is the song 'Saints', perhaps Spurs works at a push. We'll be with you doesn't lend itself well to getting belted out, it's way too fast and jolly.

Dixon impressive once again Leris and Vidigal could still play a massive part for us this season apart from that it was all a bit meh i know its a friendly for fitness but i felt we should of had more control.
