Got done early on and after that got tighter and defended great
Given he had a knock as well impressed to see still getting into dangerous areas late in the game

Was worried we’d want him tbh. He’s just not very good. And again that’s not to put Eric down, I just don’t get Whittaker at all. |

Agree that’s why I said supposed 20 million Eric had a job to do and did it really well, Whittaker resorted to hoofing it rather than trying to take him on. Thought Eric was good going forward too |

He wins most of his duels and plays smart with the ball.
I think he has been careful since he came to England and was a little scared to make forward runs and be more attacking.
Once he grows in confidence I think he can offer more of an attacking threat - because hes so athletic and gets up and down the left all game.

Bocat was essentially Hoever’s replacement in the team. That’s the comparison to be made.

Looks great. Had a ropey 45 minutes against West Brom but he was knackered and also took a knock. Once he's completely up to speed with the Championship he'll just get better and better.....
