Random Twitter posts 🤣there’s hundreds of them out there, wake up FFS Some context I couldn't find a UK Muslim twitter group with more than 23k followers. The Muslim Association of Britain (cited by Michael Gove as a divisive force) has 10k followers (most seem to have this number or less) Britain First has 87k followers Tommy Robinson has 636k followers. That is 63x more than the organisation that is cited as the most threatening to UK interests, which I would say is very contestable anyway. (and I speak as a fervent atheist who personally finds all religious denominations problematic) Reform UK has 380k followers. Just asking you to consider giving this some context. He’s been posting racist shite for months now and been allowed to get away with it. I’m not even somebody who thinks Farage is racist, I even lean towards being anti-immigration, so I’m not just throwing the R word out for nothing.

I woke up this morning and I'm sure the sky seemed bluer, the birds sang happier, children skipped and danced in the street, the queues at the a and e were non existent. Pot holes were all filled in. Fly tipping had stopped, thankyou sir keir and new old Labour. Life does actually feel a little bit better since yesterday actually….. Actually even twice there Prestwich. So you thought it was irony? I missed that completely.

James Timpson, chair of Prison Reform Trust, now prisons minister. It's as if the new government want to give jobs to people who know what they're doing. Well up for this. I'm stunned nobody from The Oatcake intelligentsia has been offered a role. It's a damning indictment on the state of the board. Those that can, do. Those that can't pontificate on here. I've always thought that in order to want to be a politician there must be something wrong with you. That we get so many nutjobs in positions of authority is therefore self fulfilling.

I'm glad the Election is done and dusted. Now we can just accept the result and see if Labour can do anything to turn things around. Personally I don't think it's out of the frying pan into the fire - more staying in the frying pan with fresh ingredients - we'll see. Starmer could be a Prime Minister who is not outright embarrassing, which is a start. In poker terms he's been dealt 72 offsuit as his hole cards, if he manages to make a hand out of that he deserves a Sainthood not a Knighthood, it'll be a modern day miracle. What hand was Sunak dealt in poker terms? So much apologism for red tories compared to blue tories 😅.

I read an article by William Hague in the Telegraph today, describing his experience of trying to put together a shadow cabinet in the wake of the 1997 Labour landslide. He had about 160 Tory MPs to choose from and said it was almost impossible to create a shadow cabinet after ruling out "all those who were too new, too old, too mad or too opposed to the leadership"

I'd guess pocket 5s or a rag ace, Sunak was marginally better than his predecessors imo tbf but it's a very low bar

I'd be surprised if Simon Case isn't removed as Cabinet Secretary for someone picked by Sue Grey and Pat McFadden will be crucial in driving the Manifesto like he managed the Election Campaign. Labour won't be given any leeway, you can judge that from comments on here, some expect them to fail and others want them to fail.

Its very strange indeed. Depends on the context I guess. Muslim immigrants all bad = push back. Catholic paedo priests all bad = no push back. Islam, Christianity, all religions stupid and divisive = no push back. Reform will be the new voice of the migrant haters, have no fear.

I'm not the one on here throwing around the racist label am I? But I'm not going to be sympathetic towards crouchpotato who is more than happy to throw labels at others. He wasn't worried about the Jewish vote in 2017/19 and their influence in politics or them organising. So I can see why people find it racist when a religion of brown people organise that he goes off on one. Personally I don't really believe in labels myself. I'd rather discuss the detail and debate it and hopefully find common ground. But I do lose patience with those whom are happy to throw labels at others and get offended when it comes back their direction. Why should I give benefit of the doubt to those so quick to weaponise it for their own benefit?

We had a white one playing for England this very day...
