I don’t think Steve Bruce is a wanker* even though I always gave my full energy to the Kenwyne song. He seems like quite a good bloke and got treated pretty badly at times during his career (notably Newcastle).

When I was young I was a fan of both Stoke and Port Vale because they were both teams from Stoke.

I cheered when they beat Spurs, then went to their next cup game against Watford and cheered them on. Then I listened on the radio to their play offs win against Bristol Rovers and cheered them again.

1) Delilah is one of the worst football songs. The dick in her hand line is embarrassing, it’s sang too quick and all round it’s just shit.

2) Apart from the first couple of seasons in the Prem, Stokes atmosphere has always been rather average, including at the Vic.

3) bet365 stadium is decent and I prefer new stadiums compared to supposed, proper stadiums which translates to being a shit hole that needs knocking down.

4) I don’t mind Sohail on radio Stoke, seems a decent chap.

5) Schumacher’s voice in interviews makes me want to cut my ears off.

6) I bet against stoke every week, so unless it’s a draw then a loss takes the edge off.

7) Ruud Gullit walked past me twice when I was trying to get a signature before kick off back in the Vic days. As he walked past the 3rd time without acknowledging me I shouted “your dread locks are shit anyway” he turned around and signed my book. I was a dumb kid.

I wear two pairs of socks at away games, a thin cotton pair and a slightly thicker pair over the top, not through superstition or a luck thing regarding the game. it’s because most beers these days turn my bowels into hot mud, resulting in the charge of the shite brigade in far away boozers.
A thin pair are sacrificed each game if there is no bog roll, and I thank them for their service as they are binned 🫡

Today a student of mine informed me that he was an Ipswich Town fan. "Kept that quiet until now!" I chortled. To be fair he did then say "I hate Leeds" to which I replied "Good. Fuck Leeds" which led to me hearing from another corner of the studio "I'm from Leeds actually." "Nothing personal!" I retorted as I left the room, wondering whether I'd have a job in the morning.

My first club was Liverpool & my favourite player was Jan Molby. God knows why. I was only a kid. My first Stoke game was a 2-0 win over Liverpool, tickets through Stoke Ladsandads, which I went to, because I liked Liverpool.

From that day onwards I supported Stoke, but I sometimes wonder where I'd be now if I'd stuck with the Bindippers. It'd have been a completely different, football supporting life.

Same here except my favourite player was Steve McManaman, I only really started supporting Stoke in the mid 90’s as a teenager

The first team i saw on my nans black and white tv was celtic, who i took as my team and my nan got me a green and white scarf.
Im not a Catholic and i didn't understand the sectarianism.
My grandad who was a Catholic told me i should follow my home town team Stoke instead. So i did.

When I watched the results with my grandad teams like stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath always made me laugh as i thought they were made up.
However, much to the annoyance of many on here i guess, i took stenny as my second team, and have done ever since.
And yes i went to the club shop there and got the shirt.
