8pm Boxing Day K/O! That's proper gash that is!
The clubs catering Dept for the suites are going to be adept at putting on fancy breakfast themed meals for the punters on a 12:30pm K/O !
It's all very wrong isn't it!

I hadn't quite realised how much of an impact this new TV deal was going to have.
12.30pm becoming the norm is absolutely awful.
It will ruin things for so many people. All parents involved with kids weekend football will likely be affected. As will those who work early on Saturdays.
Lots of away days affected. 12.30pm for an away game of any decent travelling distance is instantly enough to put me off.
The early kick off is generally a bad thing and the atmosphere tends to be worse as a rule of thumb, which will just weaken the product as a whole.
It really is a shitshow all round.
I imagine attendances will be down across the board for all teams this season. There will be lots of people missing games for various reasons.
I appreciate there has to be give and take with the TV money, but this is overwhelmingly negative for all concerned and will just have an adverse affect on attendances, atmosphere and ultimately product.
No winners.

It will be interesting to see our attendance at the opening game V Coventry.
Lots of variables to consider but I suspect a large turnout from the away crowd.

I can live with 12:30 on a Saturday…..it’s better than Friday night, Sunday or Monday night

I don't get why people are surprised. The old 'football is nothing without the fans' yarn that was spun during COVID was only so more people signed up to their subscriptions.
They've never cared about the match going fans and never will until people make a stand and stop going.

I can live with 12:30 on a Saturday…..it’s better than Friday night, Sunday or Monday night It will affect different people of course, but I suspect 17:30 Saturday kick offs would have been more palatable for more people than 12:30 kick offs due to junior football on a Saturday morning. 2.5m kids approximately play football on a Saturday (another million roughly on a Sunday) plus all the parents/guardians that ferry them about and coaches......

Terrible for the fanzone too. I’d imagine the vast majority of the revenue would be taken pre-match, so it’s a bit of a nightmare that the place will be operating regularly 10:30am to 12:30pm as opposed to 1pm to 3pm :/

12:30 kicks off are the worst for me personally.
I like to have a couple of pints beforehand but with having a little lad it's a struggle to get down the ground by 1pm for a few as it is.
I'll probably end up driving to the 12:30 ones now most of the time.

I don't think anyone would have envisaged so many 12:30 kick offs that for certain.......

There needs to be nationwide organised protests and boycotts.
This is not acceptable.
Glad to say I've never given Sky a penny and never will.

We knew it was coming. I had worked out 11 home games still at 3pm Saturday that looks very optimistic.
For us traditional (extinct) fans who like Sat 3pm in our first 14 home games 4 are Sat 3pm. Other Sat 4 at 12:30 in that 14.

Nobody wants to watch football at 12.30, the atmosphere is shit and the football is generally turgid because the players hate it too. If they split the changes out between 12.30, 5.30, Friday 8 that’s fine. But not this. I probably won’t go to any of them except the opener, if the second half of the season pans out anything similar ST will be completely pointless, I’ll probably go 8/9 games by the looks of it.

I can’t make the WBA game as it’s my daughter’s birthday, but even having a season ticket my first Saturday 3pm game will be on the 19th of October by which time we’ll have played four away games at 3pm.
The Fanzone will be on it’s arse in the mornings.

Can tolerate 5.30 and even Friday night but this Saturday midday shite does my head in. Christ knows how the fanzine parlarva will pan out. Perhaps the Club aren't unduly concerned but if there is private businesses involved I'd imagine they are going apeshit.

Devil's advocate time, as I love 3pm Saturday matches as much as anyone...
Is there any other league in world football, or any other sport for that matter, that has such a connection to the 3pm kick off time?
Rugby League, Rugby Union, NFL and AFL games can be played all weekend with no hit on attendances.
European leagues also seem to have a spread of kick off times for TV audiences.
Is it time we accept this is the way things are now?
