They think it's banter. Absolute imbeciles. I've heard young Stoke fans (around 20ish years old) making chants to similar affect at Anfield which is brainless but a someone in their 40's is just inexcusable.

Yes it’s unforgivable. That said so is booing the national anthem. So is teaching youngsters the warped view of Hillsboro in Merseyside schools . Time Liverpool Grew up . Holding totally unjustified grudges going back 40 plus years ago .

Morons, and it reflects badly on our fan base as a whole. Same as the idiots chucking coins at Sunderland. It doesn’t need to be a night at the opera, but there are some real brainless fuckers still attended matches unfortunately

It's absolutely disgraceful but is it really a criminal offence? Man utd fans would of been fined millions if that's the case.

Just off the top of my head I can think of these football related tragedies;
- Bolton - Munich - Ibrox - Heysel - Bradford - Hillsborough
Any individual who participates in any way whatsoever in “tragedy chanting” is mentally ill”. If identified they should face custodial sentences in secure mental health units and be ostracised by family and friends until genuine understanding and remorse is evident.
Harsh, absolutely!!! There again I’m just an owde twat that was brought up by parents that demanded respect for others.
