He’s a good footballer. He improves the side.
Wolves are of the opinion he is not Premiership quality but he’s better than we have and he would get in most if not all the Championship midfields.
I’m not sure what some people on here expect us to attract as a near relegation team each year. Fingers crossed we can buy him this week. Onwards and upwards.

Even when he wasn’t influencing games at the beginning and had spells of being anonymous you could tell he was a technically good player. He was playing too deep in his opening games. When SS moved him further forward and got him around Bae he was very good. I’d be really happy if we could get this one done.

He'll more than do for us. Good player, keeps the ball moving with his one touch football. He linked very well with Junho and Manoef. Plus he should please those that want grafters, the lad works his socks off.

If we'd drawn 2 of those games and lost 1 we would have been relegated, if we'd drawn all 3 it would have gone to goal difference between us and Birmingham. He did as much to get us safe as anyone. Cundle and Hoever are very similar options. If we are good, or at least significantly better than the previous 5 years, they will fit, and they will improve us.
If, we are bad, and follow the same path as the last 5 years, get stuck in the basement slog, then they will be bad, they will make us worse.
From the management perspective, you’d hope, they have to err on the side of believing that we can be good, and that a really attacking full back and a slight centre mid with decent passing and movement can help us.

I think he took his time to get going but was showing more than we’ve had since coming down towards the tail end of the season. Thought he was mainly dire up to Sheffield Wednesday.
That goal he scored there is seriously underrated, stunning control and finish.
He finished the season very strongly, definitely worth another look

He is only 22 and is going to get better. His minutes played in his career so far equates to just under 48 full games. In that time he has 9 goals and 11 assists. If you think we are going to get a much better attacking midfielder with returns like that for less than the 2 million it would take to get him you are deluded.

He did show his potential in the final month and looked like he could be a very good player but oke month won't do if we sign him permanently or another season loan. He will need to be consistent.
I'd be happy to sign him but slightly apprehensive in the same regard. He's only 22 and has moved around the last few years, so having settled environment may do him good.

I’ve posted this several times but one more try . When Cundle first arrived we had an army of midfield players ( we still have). Those that were here questioned his arrival . SS stated they wouldn’t pass to him. SS rested Cundle . Only when he came on against Sheff Wednesday and scored was he ‘accepted’ . Cundle for his part didn’t sulk ( SS again ) and got his head down . A true professional. A team player. If there’s one player we need atm it’s Cundle . A diamond guy a diamond footballer Dunno where you've had that from your imagination probably. The players questioned Schu's style of play nothing to do with Cundle. He admitted he changed the style to accommodate them and the style adopted didn't suit Cundle's attributes. He also said he hated doing it himself (which reassured me greatly). please do provide a link to anywhere he's ever mentioned players not passing to Cundle. It's bollocks he was heavily involved in our play from the moment he arrived but simply nothing was coming off and players were missing easy chances(Mmaee). |

He was poor in the majority of his time here? He didn't play a single game where he was our worst player. When he was first introduced we created more chances and nobody was putting them away. Then we changed our style of play to a more risk adverse percentage game (I bet you loved it). It didn't suit his game at all and he was out of the team in no time. When he was reintroduced the whole team more or less clicked and it was a joy to watch. Replace Laurent with another Cundle type or Junho and Stevens with Bocat and it's fun and games Schu ball. High Risk/High Reward football. No doubt Pulistas will be squealing when we get the odd inevitable tonking. Not my imagination at all . SS stated what I’ve now restated . Cundle is a team player . If you dare to trawl back through his after match interviews but you have your opinions. My opinion having watched him is he will link the play such that we start to pass to one another. Unless you want to see us play like we did last week versus AZ where we were beyond awful |
