Because if a serious bid comes in January then we will sell him. It’s all part of the model. It’s also why I want to see these players played so we can actually appreciate them. If we are in the top 6 in January with Manhoef the top scorer on 10 or so goals. No way will the owners sell him for whatever money. Getting 25M for a player is worth nothing compared to the potential 100M of winning promotion to the Premier League. We are NOT a selling club, its just we have to abide by FFP rules. Surely Coates family has proven this over the years? Even if they are completely incompetent in other ways. That’s a big if. It would be a decision then. Selling players is the only none dodgy thing we’ve done to stave off FFP. These players will follow Collins and Souttar if the chance arises. We haven’t anyone else since really to sell. We’ve got 3/4 atm that could command decent fees if they progress as hoped. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s sound football business. |

I agree with you, but he's normally lying in a tenement slum, kicking empty Buckfast bottles out of the way to grab his heroin needle. |

He is a little bit special, apart from his stature there are a lot of parallels with Shaqiri. strong as an ox and eye for goal.
I'd love to keep him for the season but think we'll struggle to keep him in the new year, just have to make sure we get decent money for him.

I’m not denying he is quality but we had this with burger and junho now it’s manhoef , yes they are top quality players but why keep saying we won’t keep them, can’t we just enjoy them I agree.I think people are getting carried away with all this talk of Premier League in Jan stuff. There is potential there but nothing as yet that says PL starter. Million reminds me of a Jack Russell. |

If he becomes more clinical in front of goal ( and he isn't doing too bad to be fair ) he can go right to the top.
For the first time since our premiership days we actually have players that can be a joy to watch .They are young though and are going to have off days and the way we play might mean the odd tonking here and there .
I hope the manager sticks to his guns and let's these lads express themselves.If he does it could be an exciting, albeit roller coaster of a season and I'll take that any day over a Rowett / Neil dirge fest.

Cutting in on the right and getting shots and passes away with his left. Now people from outside the club are starting to sit up and take notice of him, opposition players and mangers are all going to be focusing on not allowing him to cut inside. He needs to develop his game and improve his right foot to add another string to his bow.

We know, the opposition already know, but it’s another thing being able to stop it. He had 2 or 3 other really good chances yesterday that came from other passages of play, probably should’ve finished at least one of them. He’s just a very good player for this level. |

Love the guy, he’s the first player since our relegation I get genuinely excited by when he gets the ball.
Let’s hope he comes with us to the Premier League in the summer and it’s not with another club.

There's been lots of talk in recent months about the likes of Junho and Burger. And then more recently lots of excitement about Cannon. Then there's the youngsters like Sol and Dixon who give plenty of reason for optimism. But Manhoef is above everyone else in terms of importance for me. I genuinely think he could get 15+ goals this season (maybe close to 20) if he stays fit. He's THAT good. |

Yes let’s see how he get’s on when he gets man marked the whole game and the opposition start doubling up on him. It’s going to get tougher for him and it’s the next challenge for him.
