Wouldn't be surprised to see a Warnock type appointment until the end of the season. The rapid decline on the pitch must have even shocked the board, I doubt there is anyone that's been lined up as a long term project.

Hope it’s true. I’d rather have Mowbray till the end of the season. Better pedigree and works well with young players. That said anyones an improvement on AN. Who ever gets it I’d give them till the end of the season and if they keep us up they get the gig. I think we need a permanent appointment. But we have to get it right. It’s not Christmas yet, plenty of time for a new man to get his style across and climb the table Agreed. I just think we’ll have more options at the end of the season.

I think a decent central striker could transform this team. Until then we are just going to have to muddle through. Don’t expect these players to grind out points though it’s a recipe for disaster as we’ve seen the last few games. I suppose its whether they were not bothered with him here. They may just ignite with a new face I don’t think they weren’t bothered at all. I think his tactics were totally wrong for the players he’d got. The more pressure he came under the more he went in the opposite direction to that which the players needed.

Just seen this myself & says that Eustace is expected to be approached. Don’t know how much truth is in it but personally I don’t fancy Eustace to do well here. Why? I've seen that mentioned several times but with no reason. Is it style or setup? Tbh, didn't follow him at brum. A solid yet quite unspectacular season finishing lower-mid table last season and a handful of games this season where he’d taken them to Top 6 - absolutely no evidence to say he could have kept that up. I love SJE but we need someone with a track record of getting a new squad to gel. That man is Slavisa Jokanovic.

Please, not Eustace. Love the bloke but he wasn't great on the whole at Brum and his football isn't great on the eye Let's buck the trend and go progressive Didn't he have them 6th before Rooney took over. Or does that say more about Rooney Blues fans were well behind Eustace

We are in desperate straights but not that desperate! We have our best squad since relegation. Get Travers and Wilmott back and sign a left back then play players in their positions and we will be up the table Travers and Wilmot would be enough

Fuck knows why but the more I think about it the more I think Frank Lampard would be a good appointment. He did brilliant at Derby and then did well originally at Chelsea when he went to them under a transfer embargo. It would be total football and he would get the respect of our over seas players. Just could well work Only reason he did well at Derby was that he could loan Mount and Tomori from Chelsea! No, not Lampard for me!

Six managers in six years. What a pitiful state of affairs. Neil 100% has to go, but I’ve got zero confidence that his successor will be any better.

This is all on John Coates
Handed the reigns of the club to the manager, totally naive and shortsighted. Anyone could have seen this coming. Yet another rebuild pending

Stoke City Manager Alex Neil has left his position with the Club.
Chairman John Coates said: “Alex is a man of absolute integrity who has given his all for Stoke City, and we would like to thank him for his hard work during his time with the Club.
“We are grateful for the building blocks he has helped put in place in bringing together a group of players in whom we have a huge amount of faith regarding their ability to turn things around this season, and who can help us achieve longer-term success.
“However, with the way the results have been so far, we have made the difficult decision to seek a new direction for the team at this time.
“Nothing matters to me more than the success of our club and we are now working towards the appointment of Alex’s successor.”
Technical Director Ricky Martin added: “The recruitment process is now underway and we will explore all avenues to secure the best person for the job.
“The role represents a fantastic opportunity and I anticipate that it will attract a number of high-calibre candidates.
“With Martin Canning having also left the Club with our sincere thanks for his hard work as Alex’s Assistant, Paul Gallagher has been installed as Caretaker Manager ahead of the forthcoming home fixture against Swansea City.
“Paul will be assisted by Alex Morris, Ryan Shawcross and Jonathan Gould. We wish them all well for Tuesday evening’s game.”

We need to get a head coach in and not a "manager".
We need to drag the club, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century.
We can't keep doing this every 12-24 months and having to rebuild the whole coaching set up

I honestly thought we were going to hold tight and monitor Coopers situation at Forest. Don’t wish people losing their jobs on anyone, but if he was to lose his at forest I wouldn’t mind him here.
