How can anyone think he’s physical?

Hasn't been a disaster but hasn't been a success either. Just a meh player and I think it's time for both parties that he moved on.

1 good game in 10 Laurent can go for me if it means getting a replacement in for him like Cundle or go after Billing. I'd give him a lift to the train station but he would miss the train. Cundle isn’t physical enough for us now we have Moran. Moran already looks sharper too.

People are far too keen to say “ this player we’ve signed is not going to be the difference between mid- table anonymity and challenging for the Play- offs”. Laurent is absolutely that type of player. It may be the way that Stoke play that doesn’t suit him, but for every good game he has, he’ll have one awful game and two average ones: in truth, for Stoke, that is exactly what he’s been- a bog standard average championship player. Somewhere else, he may set the stage alight, but he is not going to do it at Stoke. Good luck to him if he leaves, but will we be noticeably weaker- I don’t think so?

I wanna see Sidibé-Burger-Moran tried in the league.

So all you people on here disparaging Larent know better than the people running Burnley who are hot favourites to go up. I rate Laurent and he will be a big loss he’s been next to useless , probably 6 decent games 🤣😂 But in those 6 games or so, boy was he good. Including the first game of this season. It would have been good to unlock the secret of what made him come to life in those matches because when he did, he was box-to-box at its best.

Looking from the outside in he always seemed to be the ringleader of the clique that made it difficult for new managers to implement change as quick as they would like... Too much time waving to family rather than concentrating on leading when he was captain nowhere near consistant enough he has the physique to be an absolute beast but Doesn't seem to be able to apply it often enough to be considered indispensable.... I'd wish him the best and let him go.... I could of also written exactly the same about Campbell and baker because they evoke the same felling to me... Time to let the young uns have a go

I think Laurent, Johnson, Ennis, and Pearson going would be good.
Baker and Gooch if we get replacements.
Then get a quick striker, utility player and another RB and it’ll be a great window.
Won’t happen but that’d be my ideal window.

Can't wait for him to run the midfield for Burnley. The witch hunt on here against him has been the Oatcake at its worst. Ah well . . . sheep will be sheep. PS . . . and people want McNally in exchange?????? Unbelievable. Yea he’ll be a real loss, how will we cope? He’s been poor apart from literally the odd game where he can be arsed.

If (when) he moves on it’ll be his 11th club of his career at the age of 29, Journeyman (as Baker) You could argue his signing came at a time which suited both parties. I imagine if he moves in this window he’ll get a two year contract (possibly 3) which will give him financial stability

I honestly think we’ll improve without him in the side.
Never gives more than the basic requirement. Unlikeable and uninspiring.

Easier to make a case for letting Laurent go than keeping him. He’s in the last year of his contract with us, as his mate Tyrese was. We won’t offer him a new one, nor should we, so a sale and a fresh start for him is perfect. And that’s not even touching on his ability.

Is there a fancy and pretentious, football manager style label for midfielders that are basically anonymous ghouls, floating around the pitch ineffectively, barely touching the football for the first 6 months of the season before going on to boss the last 6-7 games? If not, there should be.
