Strange one to choose to have a pop at after today. Thought him & Campbell were the best 2 players in a stoke shirt today. He won the ball in some great positions. That’s fine but I would say the overall contribution from these 2 has been dire. We’re a weak side and squad because of 60%ers Like Campbell and Laurent. They are unreliable and I wouldn’t give 2 hoots if they both left in January.

Ahh shut it, if that’s the best you can come up with you are probably one of them You happy with the club since relegation? If happy clapping this shower of shit would help I'd be down there now doing it. It doesn't, the club needs an absolute rocket. Did I say I was happy? I said we lack patience and the atmosphere inside the ground is crap. Does that help? We keep firing managers and changing players but we’re still shit.

Since relegation this is our 'form': Manager | P | W | D | L | Rowett | 29 | 9 | 12 | 8 | Jones | 38 | 6 | 15 | 17 | O'Neill | 143 | 55 | 35 | 53 | Neil | 65 | 22 | 13 | 30 | Total | 275 | 92 | 75 | 108 |
We've won just 92 out of 275 games and lost 108! Fans have been more than patient!

This isn't my anecdote so no tedious pelters, but a Stokie yesterday was told first hand by Laurent's parents at the game that the players don't like Alex Neil. That's a fact. But a lot of players didn't like Tony Pulis either. One had the results to back it up the other doesn’t.

It’s not as is these fans whom I’m talking about have suddenly snapped and can’t take it anymore, they were even carrying on like this before it went to shit under Hughes.

No I'm sorry but that's wrong. The fans have been very patient in the main and I think that's actually part of the problem. They had a standing ovation after being relegated against Palace FFS!

That is true there has been and still is a battle for the soul of the club. I’m not sure whether it started but certainly became entrenched under Pulis. Rimmers vs PHW’s, not sure it’s possible we’ll ever see eye to eye. There’s a fundamental difference between what we want from our interaction with the game.

We don't lack patience, we've had 5 years of this (O'Neil for parts was fine). We are a good manager away from a good team. We have outstanding youth players, 4/5 very good players but crying out for a striker and center halves. A good manager would have this squad with a few astute additions in the Top 6 no problems

I’m not saying we should be patient with Alex Neil, I think he has to go - his record is atrocious. I was talking more generally about the atmosphere in the ground and how personal some of our fans get and how nasty some of the abuse is. No need for it in my view.

Sounds like our striker will be a loan as well then. Slightly frustrating, was hoping for a perm signing.

It would be the perfect scenario for us to accept a bid for Laurent, bank a few quid and move him on so that the likes of Sidibe and Moran can get more gametime.
Way too inconsistent despite having all the attributes to be a real dominant presence in midfield.......

He sure is an enigma, but then I guess that’s why he’s with us and not tearing up the Premier League.

www.nytimes.com/athletic/live-blogs/transfer-news-live-updates-latest/7saGuFRiJxIW/1S9sDlUHjauE/Burnley have made an approach to Stoke City to sign Josh Laurent. The two Championship clubs are now in talks over a deal to sign the Stoke captain. Laurent, 29, has one year left on his contract and Stoke are fielding interest in the midfielder, as reported by The Athletic. Laurent rejected a move to Sivasspor earlier this summer after Stoke and the Turkish side agreed a deal worth £500,000 ($650,000). He has also attracted interest from Birmingham City. Laurent has started all three of Stoke’s Championship games this season but missed the 5-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday. He has made 81 appearances for Stoke since arriving from Reading in 2022, scoring eight times with six assists. Burnley are next in action again Wolverhampton Wanderers in the League Cup this evening.

Got to think he’d go for that? Maybe 500k? He’ll probably go there and be decent for them but he’s been a huge disappointment for Stoke so hope this goes through.

So all you people on here disparaging Larent know better than the people running Burnley who are hot favourites to go up.
I rate Laurent and he will be a big loss
