When Laurent is motivated he is a great player at this level, fast, strong and determined!

6/10 Someone needs to tell him he’s a man mountain the big fanny. Yeah but you can hardly remind the rest that they’re not man mountains and just a bunch of fannies. There is no physicality in the team - bar him and Pearson (maybe Burger). And this is division 2.

Normal service resumed from Captain Laurent TBH I haven’t thought he’s been great at all lately and he was absolutely useless again today

TBH I haven’t thought he’s been great at all lately and he was absolutely useless again today He was very poor today I agree That’s fair enough mate I think it was you and I that had a difference of opinion last week but it’s just opinions When he plays well he can play very well but it’s not consistent enough for me and I genuinely struggle to see what value he adds as Captain

Should've put that header away.

I think he has the ability to be a good player but does really let himself down with performance s like today which he has in his locker. I can only remember him winning one header plus that sitter he missed. Really poor

Very poor today. Missed a sitter and was generally way off it. Needs to go.

Should've put that header away. Fucking woeful miss. That should be at least on target. Complete fanny of a footballer.

I was saying to the guys around me a couple of weeks ago, watch him closely.? He will make sure he’s close enough to be noticed but not close enough he has to actually commit to a tackle.
Everyone then agreed he was shit

I will likely get shot for this by the oatcake but Arnie was better and more successful and tracking back than SJW.

Not sure how comparing two great players for SCFC, who both gave 100% pretty much every time they wore the shirt gets into a discussion on a mediocre, one decent game in every 5 at best, player, who was possibly the worst of a very bad bunch yesterday. Sadly the squad that we assembled last summer is so poor and unbalanced, I expect Laurent will continue to feature in most games for the rest of the season. Let’s hope he can be arsed enough to find a few competent performances.

I thought it was a particularly strange pre-match interview where Schumacher straight up admitted Laurent isn't a very vocal captain - but decides he's the man for the job anyway

It was one of the worst Stoke related interviews I have ever seen. Self-congratulatory when we are still right in a relegation scrap. The interviewer was toss. He asks a question, gives him an answer within the question because he loves the sound of his own voice, then Josh goes ‘erm, yeah’.

Laurent isn't capable of that, clearly.

He was cack yesterday but another who suffered with that system. Surely you play Leris there if the plan with the ball is to aim it high out wide and win it?

Laurent lacks on so many other fucking things though. Ryan was a lead by example captain. You could hang your hat on him for a 7 out of 10 performance most weeks. Laurent hides, has 5 good games a season and hides for the rest
