One thing I've noticed, he rarely does the pre- or post-match interviews. Fair enough, there are special occasions - debut or first goal for example, but I'd expect the captain to do the majority.

He’s been gash for us but I thought he was decent yesterday in an unfamiliar position, especially in 2nd half when he showed some drive bottle and desire. The tackle and drive he made on around 70 minutes was very impressive and it’s a pity we don’t see more of that side of him

Right now I'd play Laurent as our main striker. He at least has pace and power, and can at least in short spells show some class. I don't want to see him as a central defender again, and I think we have midfielders who are better right now. On top unfortunately we look a bit impotent to be honest.  |

If he can do a job for us as CB, then we may have done better bringing in a LB on a free rather than Clark. Now that we have Clark, Neil will just put him in midfield again where no doubt he'll display more gash incompetence. |

We win the ball deep in their half and a chance to kill the game. It’s passed to Laurent in space and instead of simply turning he plays it back to gooch who isn’t in space. Gooch loses the ball and Laurent’s body language is atrocious; clearly blaming Gooch despite Laurent being fully at fault.
A short while later he gave the ball away stupidly on the edge of our area and, fortunately, the Sunderland player skewed the shot wide.
He has the attributes to be a very useful player but he is more of a liability of late.

God knows what Bae must be thinking if AN continues to pick Laurent over him! It looks like Laurent’s head has gone and he is just seeing out his contract. |
