I was saying to the guys around me a couple of weeks ago, watch him closely.? He will make sure he’s close enough to be noticed but not close enough he has to actually commit to a tackle. Everyone then agreed he was shit Baker is the same - reverted to type on saturday, hide and seek champion 2024. |

His piece on Stoke TV was probably not the way to go in hindsight, it had egg on his face almost immediately😳. He and Baker when in midfield together, just don't cut it, in fact Baker, apart from dead balls and shooting, is a liability and rarely offers much else..

He gives it the big one after Preston, thinks he's done enough, so takes another day off v Norwich. His positional sense on Saturday was a big cause of our problems, too happy to let others do the hardwork (appreciate most followed his exemplary captains behaviour)! |

I appreciate it's difficult for Schumacher to come in and change that, but he absolutely had to. He literally possesses non of the things you'd want in a captain/leader. The appointment caused so much damage for Alex Neil at the start of the season where he was starting despite being atrocious game on game. But as soon as we next pick up a draw somewhere, people will tell you he should be here next year along with Baker, Hoever, McNally etc |

For such a big youth he's weak as piss. It's hard to put my finger on it as on the odd occasion he's shown what he can do for us but those occasions are far too rare. It's more disappointing that he doesn't do it regularly because I think there is a good player in there but we just don't see enough of that player he can be on his day.

If you watch just after the final whistle Laurent and Baker go upto Tymon chatting with arms around each other, while Burger goes straight to the referee to complain, thats the difference.

There’s not many we’ve had play for us even recently that I loathe. Laurent is one though. There just isn’t a redeeming feature. He’s neither of the following: Intelligent Technical Quick Strong Defensive Attacking A Leader Like Ennis I assume they only ever become professionals and developed through youth systems because they were tall and strong for the age group. Something clubs focused on more than technical ability for a long time. |
