His part in Hull’s first goal wasn’t even his worst mistake on Sunday. His blind pass across our penalty area straight to a Hull player just sums him up for me.
He’s incapable of getting through a game without making at least one catastrophic error.

Wilmot is clearly the only defender at the club that is actually a footballer. That's why he is sacrificed every week on the left while we suffer the incompetent McNally and Rose on the right. It's clear as day and I'm actually reassured that some regulars on here don't see that..

He wouldn’t have let that bounce of it was on the right in my opinion. And tbh I respect your opinion to disagree He still could have dealt with it even with the bounce but if not, just head it maybe. I know I'm in the minority and most actually think he's a good player, I just don't see it. Fair enough mate

He’s one of several players who aren’t performing up to their true level because our manager seems unable to play them in a position that suits their skill set. We have an unbalanced squad that has only one left sided defender.
Too many square pegs in round holes.

I'd rather have James Chester playing over him at this point. We haven't got one solid/dependable defender on our books. Bollocks mate. Nobody tops Chesters.

We have an unbalanced squad that has only one left sided defender. Too many square pegs in round holes. If you play a back four you only need one left footer. Many of the great CB pairings have been both right footers. These are highly paid pros. Their left foot should be more than just for standing on. Some very good LBs have also been right footed. Paulo Maldini wasn't too shabby.

I’ve made my feelings on him often before so won’t stick the boot in for the sake of it, though there’s only one stat Ben Wilmot needs to worry about and that’s the Goals Against number next to Stoke City.

Attacking wise Two assists and a goal for Ben so far this season, seems to be a threat in both boxes haha.
In all seriousness though, when we signed Wilmott I'm sure it was said he can do a job in Defensive midfield if needed.
Considering we're like a sieve at the back and in need of a left footer and a more cohesive pairing would it be worth (Until January) giving Burger a run at left centre back alongside Rose or Mcnally and Wilmott in a defensive mid role?
We Should have Baker coming back soon aswell that could fill in for Burger centre mid

We were told both could do both I ve had this conversation a few times, I've always thought Ben would make a decent defensive mid.
